Stubble time in #EastLothian so I was able to get close to the Pencraig #StandingStone. Traprain Law in the background. #StandingStoneSunday

(SR probably means Sr, Strontium. They would have not mentioned that ingredient as the element was a household name associated with nuclear fallout)

Succession #woodland, #Edinburgh. Beside Old Dalkeith Road a woodland has grown on the derelict Edmondstone Estate. Unfortunately it is likely to disappear under the Bioquarter, but for now it is a rather exciting place hidden in plain sight.

Boardwalk, Tortel #Chile. The small town has no streets, just wooden walkways and steps over salt marshes and the sea, or up steep rocky slopes in the rainforest.

Fitzroy range, Argentina. Cerro Torre all but hiding in cloud, and El Chalten/ Fitzroy on the right is rather less shy. A young Hereford bull is the small circular image. (Not Argentinian, although the country is full of Herefords)

#Jungle #island off #Scotland. (Loch Linnhe, Appin). Eilean Dubh has a tiny hill with a fine view accessed with fixed ropes. The vegetation with trailing vines offered some resistance off the landing beach but pigs had made some good paths further inland.

Current scour on a beach, Baile Sear off North Uist. Sand removed by a fast stream on the ebbing tide and probable rip current. Note how narrow the affected area is. The advice of moving perpendicular to the current would have worked here. Taken just after low water. #beach #Uist #Scotland
