Why buy tickets to one upcoming show when you can buy tickets to two? It'll be my first @chatpileband.bsky.social show. The last 3 times they've played here it either sold out before I got a ticket or I was out of town

I'm so goddamn excited about this show. It'll be a lovely evening full of extremely weird music at my favorite venue in the city (a glorified shed in the middle of field on the outskirts of the city)
The newest Squarepusher album is most Zappa-coded album I've ever heard from someone not named Zappa. It sounds like someone mixed the synclavier albums and the Yellow Shark orchestral sessions.
#nowplaying One of the greatest jazz albums ever made. Top tier virtuoso performances that never devolve into showing off. Just 3 insanely talented people having a great time performing together. The first time I heard it I thought there were 2 pianists, but no. Oscar was just that good.

My week of listening. Yes, my own album is on there. I'm trying to decide on a set list for a potential first ever Fathomless live show.
My takeaways from the show last night: Jinjer is fucking TIGHT live. I only knew a couple songs, but I walked away very impressed. Crystal Lake was kinda boring. Like one long unrelated set of riffs separated by breakdowns and synth pads Entheos kicks major ass
One of the little things in life that makes me happy is getting an actual physical ticket for a show
Someone at this bar is karaoke-ing Smells Like Teen Spirit, and it's so bad it makes me want to eat a shotgun
All the bartenders are wearing these shirts. I love dive bars and their abject lack of customer service sensibility so much.

I started my father's day with a Brazilian steakhouse and go-kart racing, now I'm ending it with 90mph winds and tornado warnings.
I'm attending a local show again. This time to see my friend's new band, Lamb Slaughter. I will 100% be leaving before the AC/DC cover band
In the 12 years we've been together I think this is the first local metal show that my wife has attended with me (other than shows I was performing at)
I'm slightly ashamed to admit how long it's been since I went to a 100% local show, but I'll be at this one tonight.
