The Fat Man
@fatman
Capitalism sucks. Market socialism rules. Known to post about football, beer, flags, boardgames, rugby, dad shit, politics, lacrosse, and maps. I make lots of typos and won't apologize for it.
I'd say the mix of chalk, ketchup, dirt, seltzer water, and strawberry on kiddo 1's dress is as good a sign of an evening well spent as anything.
If anyone needs more ammo to piss off conservative family members just show them this stuff kiddo 1 brought home from preschool today.
My shooty bois like being colorful and feeling pretty while being terribly ineffective on tabletop.
Did kiddo 1 talk me into pink armor for my Banished? Yes. Yes she did. I just need to figure out how to make the speed paint actually come out more pink than purple.
Wife is playing pickleball tonight so I spent the evening painting more Halo: Flashpoint minis and watching Dune. I told her I could feel the virginity re-entering my body. The Hazop was a color/technique experiment and likely will never see the table. I'm pretty happy with how both turned out.
@profgabriele.com was curious what your take was on this post from a local Waldorf school. Def feels much much teaching the vibe than the history.
Big respect to this man's hater energy. The kind of thing we should all aspire to.
Hot take. More colleges should incorporate the school crest/academic logo into sports unis. Not all the time, but occasionally.
I'm way too proud of this joke I made to my wife texting about seeing a kid eating froyo before kiddo 1's swim lessons today. So of course I had to share it.
Jame. Franklin has been spotted in a suburban Baltimore public library. Clearly this means he's interested in the (not open)Towson job.
I didn't win the neighborhood costume contest. Multiple people have told me I was robbed. They're all fucking right.
I think it's great that our daycare talks about all sorts of things. Like Jewish holidays for example. I think it's less great that this little shofar came home from day care as part of the Rosh Hashana lesson. Thing is turbo annoying.
Like in field lacrosse there's usually a little painted square on the ground by the scorers table that is the penalty box. Players kneel when they're in it. Not sure if by rule or tradition. But this, and the whole ice hockey set up, was my frame of reference.
This shit is so dumb. It's been 5 fucking years. And I know for a fact he doesn't say this shit in public. But nope online gotta virtue signal to other shitheads.
Has this shown up in anyone else's mailbox recently? Addressed to "current resident" so guessing mass mail campaign, which goddamn how expensive has that gotta be?
Kiddo 1 turns 5 in Oct. We're very worried about body image stuff with her since she's pretty big. I've got tons of sympathy there. However her seeing people dressed in whatever clothing has never been an issue at all.
These popped up in some North Baltimore neighborhoods to fight a new apartment development. On the site of a decades long vacant mall next to existing light rail tracks. They'd rather let the building rot then build housing.
Talking to kiddo 1 about some art her and a friend did during a play date earlier: "What's your picture of?" "A rainbow pond." "And what is [friend]'s picture of?" "A horse pooping"
Look. Getting changing tables into way more men's rooms is awesome. But we need to push the frontier further. These should be everywhere.
After attending the first @splitzoneduo.com live show nearly 2 years ago I thought I'd immediately lost the coozies from it. Guess I haven't worn these shorts since that night, cuz look what I just pulled from the back pocket
