Took me like two days, but my SpacemiT K3 Pico-ITX/Milk-V Jupiter 2 RV23 #RISCV chip can now run #Buildroot _with the OSS PowerVR driver from upstream #Mesa_ 👀
Hi from a Milk-V Jupiter 2 (SpacemiT K3-powered, the first RV23 chip!)
Bonus: High contrast mode screenshot because IMHO it kind of just looks cool!
Here it is running #GNOME OS and rebuilding itself via BuildStream :) Will probably take a full day at least to actually finish but I'm curious if it can! Such a nice form factor, I wish the Neo was this small.
Love the neat mockups and blur and surprising amount of customizability. It’s interesting how … traditional? macOS’ HIG is compared to e.g. GNOME. It’s quite a bit more complex, lots of states I never need to worry about on GNOME (e.g. resizable sidebars or enabling icon + text vs just text)
Ported DarwinKit (Go AppKit etc. bindings) to macOS 26 tonight and switched the generator from scraping the web docs to just getting it from the SDK locally. Also hacked together a little clone of Reflection (just a dummy, no p2panda here) based on Go.
Proper macOS 26 menu bar with symbolic icons + dynamically hiding menu bar app
Some more #Sessions macOS port things. Damn icons on macOS have lots of configuration permutations …
Managed to hack #Multiplex to use #p2panda (using the GObject bindings for Go) for it's P2P playback position sync. Was ... pretty painless? Lots of things left to do and UX feedback (discovery, showing other nodes etc.) to get from folks, but it just kind of ...
And just for reference, this is how the app looks like on #GNOME (I prefer this to the native macOS app honestly once it's in it's native habitat)
Also, for good measure I made a port for macOS pre-Tahoe (so no Liquid Glass). Looks quite a bit more similar to the GNOME version!
Anyways, here is a port of #Sessions (on the left - GTK/libadwaita) to AppKit/macOS 26 with DarwinKit (Golang, too!). Pretty damn close, but there are def. differences around margins, the size of buttons etc. between macOS and GNOME for sure.
Check this out, KDE Connect/Valent can now remote control Android notifications showing Multiplex controls via MPRIS. Even seeking works. If you seek it even updates the position for your friend watching the movie with you on their computer somewhere else in the world!
Some neat #puregotk & #GStreamer hacks I've been exploring: #Multiplex , which allows you to do torrent watchparties with your friends & share the positions, playback etc. P2P, now has an initial version that uses GStreamer to play back the video in the app itself! No more need for MPV :)

Damn, I fell for graph 1) again. Turns out that data centre capex actually isn't all that unusual?
New thing: Initial support for GStreamer in #puregotk , completely CGo-free!
