School, Danceteria and One Step Away for me. I Feel So Free, which I also love, is at the top of this list since the song had already been out since before album’s release. Anyway. It’s a Madonna Confessions II summer!!!! ✨
Dog sitting my sister’s pup Rocket. My cat Jolene isn’t too happy about this. #catsanddogs #summer
Gurl! Since the mid ‘80s! Remember the first two centerfolds that captured my teenage desires and heart, Brian Buzzini and Steve Rally. I used to tear those centerfolds and sneak them in my Pee-Chee folder on my way out the store.
Mars Audiac Quintet, released in 1994, has one bop after another. It’s definitely a no skips album.
I will choose a work of fiction as my favorite book about music.
90/100 isn’t bad! And 4 of my top 10 films were in the NYT’s top 10.
Here’s list. I’d probably replace two or three of the titles I included if I were to do a list all over again. I totally forgot about Under the Skin. Such a stunning film!
I made a list! Thought about it hard and had to search year by year (2000 to today) what my favorite films have been. I left out a lot and I’m sure there will be titles I didn’t think of that will haunt me after I post this. Cheers!!!
Another fun, unforgettable Memorial Day weekend in Palm Springs. ☀️🌵🏜️🌴 🤽🏾♂️🏳️🌈
4 photos from a film you consider a masterpiece. 🎞️ 🎥 🎬 BLUE VELVET (1986) #bluevelvet #davidlynch #lauradern #the1980s
One more album? Neither Fish nor Flesh was an amazing but perhaps underrated sophomore effort from Sananda Maitreya (Terence Trent D’Arby). This release had a few gorgeous songs in it.
My ten most listened to songs on Spotify this past April according to Receiptify…
R.I.P. David Lynch. Blue Velvet remains one of my favorite films of all time. And Twin Peaks forced me to learn how to set my VCR timer back in the early ‘90s when ABC moved it to Saturday nights. (A time before DVRs and streaming) A real loss for art and cinema. 💔
🤣🤣🤣 Probst’s pronunciation of tiramisu is giving “mic-ro-whavay!”
