It is exceedingly fun to be sitting on one of these seats :D First time I've come across this config! And cracking open Elwin Cotman's anthology "Weird Black Girls". Real paper, from a real library :D #bus #publictransport #nerdlyf #booksofbluesky
"No, it's bad for your teeth. None for you." "I DEMAND." Reader, she is not winning, but not for lack of trying. #dogsofbluesky
2/2 ...I noticed they had amazing turquoise / indigo / violet colouring inside their arms. Also lovely yellow mandarin colouring on their outer arms :D And very round belly, with mauve accents <3
Current view...in two seconds she will SPRING up, DragonYawn, dandelion-shake and we shall brave the cold for walkies and frolics.
Doggo sulking / warming her snoot (because I stopped playing with her briefly - she does love her morning thrash / kick her hooman / make funny sounds time :P).
I love the way this yucca has decided to fuckit on the whole vertical thing and at about 170ish cm decided instead to sprawl languidly over the length and width of this barrel, including hanging a bit down the side. Can relate.
The pretzel's back feets consistently make my head asplode with cute.
Just spotted - first blossoms! On a particulary wintry day in Ōtautahi :)
My head did NOT correctly read either name or tagline correctly the first time.
Bowl stuck in pot :( Have tried getting water underneath it and then boiling it - no dice. The bowl is very slightly fatter at the bottom, and so rocking it up on one side also doesn't help. It was fine when the pot had water in it (washing up pile). Ideas? (Other than breaking bowl...)
ORLY. a) DOGE cost a great deal more than it saved (a very, very, VERY great deal, and much of it irrecoverable), and b) what risk? OF RIDICULE? I mean, yeah, but meh. What's the line? "Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them*." [* including for laughing]
Took this, which resulted in the morning flails / thrashes starting :P Just a wee one though! (Although I did just get punched inna face lol.)
Update - some now across the path. I think this may be their final flight to the flowers in the sky…it’s genuinely sad and moving and beautiful. * sniff *
Just walked past this group of monarch butterflies next to a path, their russets the same colour as the fallen leaves, and one with a sticker on its wing. MBNZT mb.org.nz WAL 129.
Absolutely gorgeous moment as the sun picked out this sprig fallen green and browning oak leaves surrounded by already brown single ones on the dark earth :)
Wandering Hagley and just spotted these cheetah-marked mushrooms. Turns out (yay iNaturalist’s Seek app!) they’re poisonous and endemic to Aotearoa :) Philiota glutinosa.
My study is a bit of a Forest, including this very thirsty, very happy, constantly-making-new-flowers (they only last a day or two) hibiscus :D
What a haul! It's the autumn market at the Phillipstown community hub, and I walked away with5 amazing jars of goodness ($5 for 4, and one free), AND this wee octopus, as we know I adore them and they're TOO cute and, as I thought, sit perfectly on my head :D [Also $5...] Preserve source in alt txt.
