A single bus seat at the front of the bus (this one is just behind the driver: I am on the opposite side, as I prefer pavement side to centre line side), suspended OVER the arch of a bus's front wheel, with a nifty baggage holder set behind it, similarly suspended. LOVE high seats - awesome window viewing action! Also I just like height.

2/2 ...I noticed they had amazing turquoise / indigo / violet colouring inside their arms. Also lovely yellow mandarin colouring on their outer arms :D And very round belly, with mauve accents <3

I love the way this yucca has decided to fuckit on the whole vertical thing and at about 170ish cm decided instead to sprawl languidly over the length and width of this barrel, including hanging a bit down the side. Can relate.

An array of 4 wooden barrels in a metal gantry-type structure, with the pot of said yucca to the bottom right of the top left barrel, and its spiky head at the front left of said barrel, having made itself Very Comfortable. A skylight shines in the background, a couple pf stories up (we're in a warehouse with some comfy couches. The one on which I'm sat is a classic 70s one also upholstered in stripey green.). Doggo lying at my feet. New book. Good pint. Heaven :)

The pretzel's back feets consistently make my head asplode with cute.

Drying pattern on the driver side of a grey car looks like the silhouette of a cityscape (more steepled than flat roofs for the tallest buildings, so an older / ancient city, which feels on point for dog's and my souls) :)

And WTF is this ad?

An ad for...toe separators? "Wear these pads to sleep for one night then brace yourself", with an image of two feet and a...thing?...that goes over foot too and between toes.

(Ladies and gentlenerds: just wear shoes that don't torture your feets. Wear flats - zero drop if you can - with wide toe boxes. It may feel weird at first, which means you've let bad gear shorten your achilles tendon and crush your toes togethe (heyo bunions), but it can recover. Plus you get to feel the planet your cheap slave-made landfill obsession is killing, and our bodies actually quite like engaging with the world.)

Bowl stuck in pot :( Have tried getting water underneath it and then boiling it - no dice. The bowl is very slightly fatter at the bottom, and so rocking it up on one side also doesn't help. It was fine when the pot had water in it (washing up pile). Ideas? (Other than breaking bowl...)

Wandering Hagley and just spotted these cheetah-marked mushrooms. Turns out (yay iNaturalist’s Seek app!) they’re poisonous and endemic to Aotearoa :) Philiota glutinosa.

P. Glutinosa mushrooms - yellow with brown spots, covering more towards the crown, nestled in a single vertical line, in a tree trunk.

My study is a bit of a Forest, including this very thirsty, very happy, constantly-making-new-flowers (they only last a day or two) hibiscus :D

What a haul! It's the autumn market at the Phillipstown community hub, and I walked away with5 amazing jars of goodness ($5 for 4, and one free), AND this wee octopus, as we know I adore them and they're TOO cute and, as I thought, sit perfectly on my head :D [Also $5...] Preserve source in alt txt.

5 jars of preserved goodness! From left - spicey rhubarb, spicey eggplant, spicey onion, cherry chutney (did get to try that one, but betting it's amazing), and strawberry peach sherry jam (sooooo sumptuous) :D And a green knitted octopus sitting proudly in front :) Preserves are from Katherine's Kitchen, on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/people/Katherines-Kitchen/100083391398285/.
