3 years ago today, I released “Life’s in the Balance” as a single. I wrote it in May 2023 in an emergency room while experiencing a malignant hyperthermia crisis (105.5º body temp). Every $20 or so it takes in from streams/downloads, I donate it to MHAUS.org. Stream/download: wp.me/PcZlvI-96

I bought a used Roland Jupiter-6 at the music store where I bought my first pro keyboards for around $800 in late 1989/early 1990. I sold it to a friend for about half that in 1994. You can tell I am a musician because I make bad financial decisions like that all the time. 🤦♂️

But what I didn't realize is that the word "eventually" is quite prominent in "Love Conquers All" — a song with a similar theme as well. I think it's interesting that I subconsciously used a similar vocal part in a song called "Eventually." (5/5)
First thing I saw on Instagram today was this post from someone I sold a Roland Jupiter-6 synth to back in the mid-90s—it's a pic of the Jupiter-6! It was so nice to see it again, especially in action. He said he brought it out for the first time in 12 years for a new project. Still going strong!
Just noticed the latest issue of our monthly community newspaper in a stack of papers in our kitchen...and it features a profile on fellow @BlowUpRadio.gardenstate.social.ap.brid.gy artist, The Successful Failures, on the front page. Cool.
Tune in to hear "Eventually (Love Is the Answer)" from my new EP, Off You Pop!, on @BlowUpRadio.gardenstate.social.ap.brid.gy Presents New #NewJersey #Music TONIGHT at 7pm ET! player.live365.com/a42405?l

Just discovered Mirlo.space as an alternative to Bandcamp so I've uploaded a couple of my EPs there to give it a try. mirlo.space/ferociousdes...
Another sliver of the Off You Pop! artwork is accompanied by a slightly different version of the previously released "Crossing the Finish Line," which closes out the EP. Stream/download it starting this Friday, May 9.
Teaser No. 4 for Off You Pop! features another slice of the cover art and a bit of "Age of Idiocracy,” the fourth track of the EP, which will be released Friday, May 9.
Time for another piece of the Off You Pop! cover art with a sample of the EP's third track, "It's All Around You." Off You Pop! will be released May 9.
Time to reveal another piece of the puzzle…some more of the cover art peeled back along with a bit of track 2, “Eventually (Love Is the Answer),” a song that dates back to the late 1980s when I originally wrote it as a piano ballad.
OK…my Off You Pop! EP will be released next Friday, May 9. Here’s a piece of the cover art and a bit of the opening track, “Precious Jewel,” which kickstarted this whole project 16 months ago…
RIP Blondie drummer Clem Burke. Technically, I once appeared on the same album as Burke...a 2007 David Bowie tribute compilation…

I have a song on Volume 6...please consider buying the compilation and donating to this worthy and urgent cause... rahkind.bandcamp.com/album/rock-a...
My debut album, Looking for the Light, was released two years ago today. https://wp.me/PcZlvI-6t
This was a fun project that also involved an October 13 concert for NJ Peace Action in Bloomfield, NJ. I played accordion on the track and for the show. Photo courtesy Freddie Fry. Happy 92nd Birthday, Yoko Ono!
When I released my debut EP in 2021, #NewJersey writer Bob Makin picked "Lay It on the Line" as his Song of the Week & referenced Peter Gabriel in the write-up. It was an unexpected, amazing response to my first release as a musician after 30+ years as a hobbyist. Happy birthday, PG! bit.ly/40WHflJ

This hurts. Just heard about the passing of #NewJersey music scene fixture John Pfeiffer. He was in bands In Between Dreams & Tom Kanach's Well of Souls in the 80s/90s. John played guitar in my friend @christianbeach.net's live band, for which I played keys. John was also a music journalist. RIP
