Stephen Pigram and Kerryn Tolhurst at The Port Melbourne Music Crawl this afternoon. Absolute legends. Stephen is a national treasure.
Oh awesome! Highly recommend the Ian Rankin Inspector Rebus series. Gritty tartan noir as they say and Rankin is a music head in real life so his characters are too. Rebus is such a great character. I reckon start at book five as the first few aren’t as good . . .
Multiple new fire starts from dry lightening as well as the very serious fires around Longwood and Walwa. Stay informed and safe everyone and follow the directions of emergency services
Buxton is now only just outside the Watch and Act area for the Longwood fire. It’s going to run hard today. Hope your mate is staying safe
Yep it’s in Murrundindi shire which is in North Central region that is rated catastrophic tomorrow
Two going fires in Victoria now, including an emergency warning to leave immediately WSW of Bendigo
Loving the new-ish Marlon Williams record Te Whare Tīwekaweka. Sung entirely in Te Reo Māori. Stunning.
Went for a sticky at the new Metro rail tunnel today. This is the new State Library station. Very cool
And I don't believe in the existence of angels But looking at you I wonder if that's true But if I did, I would summon them together And ask them to watch over you
New The Bernard Lakes album is very good, if a bit lairy to look at. Self described as Montreal’s psych rockers 🇨🇦
Looking a bit untidy down your way @lukefoley.me. Hope you’re going ok
And this album with Kurt Vile is sublime. So glad she’s nice in real life
Raw and rowdy Irish American bluegrass band DUG at The Curtin tonight with @mark-h.bluesky.social. Great band and great pub.
The very fabulous Samarah on Skin at Bar Open tonight. @mark-h.bsky.social
Excellent night out with @mark-h.bsky.social, @davehooper.com and Dave’s friend Dan seeing Skyscraper Stan at the Merri Creek Tavern. Such a legend
