I haven't read Traister in a minute, and, let me just say, I feel like the Traister I remember would tear apart the one today who refers to Platner as merely "an alleged sexual miscreant." You don't have to be this person. You don't have to follow this path.
The... Dean of Harvard Medical School testified that Tylenol causes autism and/or ADHD??????????
This whole thing was so insane to witness and isn't less insane in retrospect either. Fucking Bon Appetit got in there with a feature! As was pointed out then: a major story here to be told about the networks involved in propping this guy up in terms of PR, media, etc
Apropos of this from Jamelle, who has correctly turned off quote posts so I'm just using the screenshot, I was just reading about how Medicare had no chance to pass despite endless hearings and campaigns until Rs got crushed in 64. We can affect these things collectively.
I don't have a subscription but this is a hilarious troll based on the headline lol

Not yet clear what's going on. This is near a metro station it looks like. I don't think I have ever seen so many emergency vehicles in one place at once
Michael Saylor looking at people throwing 500 million at Eric Trump's bitcoin treasury play
Lmao amazing. The whole thing is funny too cause structurally when I think of the guy who had a solid primary against Trump (à la McCain/Bush 2000) it's this fuckin guy:
This is farther along for JFavs on this particular path than I realized (I know he isn't yet a fan of Tucker but as so often with media many of them can only see their fellow members as people and the rest of us as ungrateful barbarians)
Yeah i can't say for sure how it will play out but I definitely can't rule out a flip and delete all old posts type of thing. Sorta this vibe:
I have had far too many thoughts in reaction to this Moyn piece but ultimately the nicest thing I can say about it is that he seems to exist in an alternate universe at least when I read his online or short form work and so I just can't find merit in further engagement beyond just doing the meme
Not only are these not contradictory but they're mutually reinforcing. Like, yes! The phrase vote blue no matter who is obviously about the general election, which means the primary is where we push for better candidates and policies. I've never seen VBNMW applied to mean otherwise
Fam, it's bad out there in the agencies. Hell of a subhed: "Experts and SSA employees question wisdom of telling callers in crisis that suicide is an option." www.govexec.com/management/2...
God this really is a lot. I kind of thought he'd reveal he's just trolling or something by the end. He worked in Amherst! He also seems to think the primary objection is just vague notions of superficiality? This whole exercise is just bizarre
These are just the stupidest fucking people. If enough people had been able to think one day ahead, we would not have lost control of the state. We are now hopeful about regaining control of the state to stop the killing. Stopping bad things is good and preventing them is even better
Feel like this explains a lot about what's been happening in the video game industry (excepting Ubisoft, which just loves layoffs, of course) From www.matthewball.co/all/stateofv...
Mamdani is awesome but man I sorely hope no one takes this away from his time in office because boy this is not even kind of true. Systems and history and structures are harder to overcome than this and I feel like a virtue of the left involves appreciating that fact
They just came out with Making Makers, but it's not my are so I can't endorse. Seems like the logical next read tho global.oup.com/academic/pro...
