I’ve been so excited about the WPBL that I made three more teams for my absurdist baseball TTRPG, Ball Game, in honor of the first game today! the NY Rats are already in BG, but it felt weird to not include a team for the Heights. enjoy! :D

The New York Rats
The New York Rats have a reputation for
being rude, but that couldn't be further from the truth. They can be a little cliquey, keeping to themselves and not really interacting with other teams, but if you're on the Rats, you've got a family in your fellow rodents. That is, unless you get drafted to another team. Then you're dead to them.
They might even pretend you were never on the team in the first place.
Team Move
Once per session, each player can perform
the following action:
You can summon a small swarm of actual rats. Roll 1d6 to determine how many. They remain with you until the end of the scene or Game.

The Boston Whalewatchers
Known as the Boston Whalers until 2012, the
Whalewatchers are still as brutal as ever, even with the name change to make them sound less aggressive. Rumor has it their coach encourages fights with opposing players to get the Whalewatchers to get them "fired up, or, I guess, watered up, haha" before a Game. That being said, there have been several pictures on social media of the Whalewatchers being friendly with opposing teams off the field. Except for the New York Rats, fuck the New York Rats.
Team Move
Once per session, the team can perform the
following action:
While losing a Game, the Whalewatchers can cause the field to suddenly flood. This causes the Game to be cancelled and rescheduled, and everyone on both teams must reroll everything, taking the second roll, no matter what it is.

The Los Angeles Monarchs
The LA Monarchs are supposedly much less arrogant than their royal name may suggest, though at least half of them have a really good idea for a screenplay. Despite their good standing on the leaderboards, filling the position of coach for the Monarchs is rather difficult, as many of them get decapitated. It's unclear if this is related to the travel-size guillotine the Monarchs always have on hand.
Team Move
Once per session, each player can perform
the following action:
If you say "off with their head!" to any NPC, set a timer for 30 seconds. At the end of that 30 seconds, the NPC will be decapitated. Whether or not this kills them is up to you.

The San Francisco Wizards
Joining the San Francisco Wizards is said to
be a more cost-effective option for folks that can't afford magic school. The Wizards have access to ancient tomes and runic scrolls that tell the secrets of the universe, which includes baseball. You'd think, as a baseball team, they'd use this knowledge to get better at the game. But lately they've just been casting Guiding Ball to get the ball where they want it, which leads to some kinda boring games.
Team Move
Once per session, each player can perform
the following action:
You cast Fireball. A big ball of fire envelopes the area around you causing a huge commotion, you know the drill. Everyone in your immediate vicinity takes 3d6 damage (reminder: Ball Game does not have a hit point mechanic).

would love a playlist for my freak from a fiasco game I played a bit ago and hasn’t left my brain since. emotion is anger and/or regret

my beloved freak’s name is second (they/she), and they started the story as a stereotypical evil clone who spent their life wanting to kill their original, april, but when they get to know her, the two start to bond, and she ends up rethinking her plan. unforch april ends up screwing second’s ex fiancée that they’re still in love with, nora, and they go back to the original plan. the game ended with a big tense scene in the lab second was created in and they couldn’t bring themself to kill april, and they left both the lab and the lives of the other PCs, who were april, nora, and april’s older sister, Vienna, who (almost) always treated second like shit.
