Picked up a foster dog today. Seeing all the rescue dogs get off the transport was amazing. So many happy gotcha days today.
This is Bridgette an overweight cranky older shelty, when we were asked to take her in. She is a joyous older but healthy weight dog now and is living her best retirement. Older dogs are cert adoptable.
The yellow orchids have just gone by and the showy lady slippers are a week away. It is accessible, it is a dirt path and boardwalk but they did a good job to be ADA compliant. (It can be difficult to do)
I fixed a big hole in my sweater band today. Not perfect but I can now wear this. Please clap.
Took the weekend to go away and knit and connect with friends. Highly recommend this kind of self-care right now.

Libraries offer so many resources for their community. I checked out the a tree extractor from our library for the weekend. Made fast work of all the saplings hiding in the back garden. Glad that libraries are more than books. Oh and found this guy while beating back some bushes
