When I was a kid, I was bullied by people just like you, and Superman never came to save me. And the day he finally did, I lost everything. And it broke me. Maybe forever. You're right. I'll never be Superman. I'll never be as good as him. It hurts to say that, but I know it's the truth. So I make jokes to hide how scared I really am, okay? But even when I'm lost or afraid, I still know the people on my world love Superman as much as I do. He's real in their hearts. He moves them to be better people! So shame on you. Here I had my first cimmanom pretzel. I got the best good dog ever. And a beautiful girl kissed me on purpose."

Hotoru breaks down crying as he says he's 15 years old. Rogue's narration describes everyone breaking down after that.

Everyone hates the "superhero's significant other breaks up with them because of the flaking and secret keeping" plot point, but I really appreciate the gravity of someone knowing a relationship isn't giving either party what they need. Amara's whole speech is good, and I like this. #TitansSpoilers

Amara: "You've been missing shifts at work and daydreaming in class with finals coming up-- and if there's one thing I hate more than anything, it's sounding like my man's mother. There's a great man in you somewhere, Virgil. I know it. But I can't give him what he needs. Everyone deserves the light they're offering, V. If you've found that spark...?"
