Hoy a las 21:00h me voy a hacer una visita guiada al Fuerte de San Cristobal en Badajoz. Bueno pues aún hay gente que no da crédito que no esté viendo el furbo. Y lo tranquilo que vamos a estar ahí arriba! 😍
Some people are criticizing Spotify new logo. I actually love it. Not as a logo but as what it is, a celebration. So I did the same with @usecommune.com's logo 😄 What do you think? 🪩 🕺
Crees que me conoces... hasta que descubres que tengo una raza de oveja favorita. Os presento a la Churra Lebrijana 😍😆 Aunque la Merino sigue siendo "the real shit" ❤️
A really cool conversation in here: usecommune.com/chat/c982cb4.... Anton Zaides wrote a great article on his newsletter manager.dev and sparked a great chat 👀 P.S. This Commune URLs are terrible. I promise to improve them Iván.
The last two weeks have been somewhat stressful for me. I'm in the middle of a rewrite of the entire codebase of @usecommune.com. The stress is not coming from the migration itself but from the fact that I want to build a BigNewFeature™ 🙊 as soon as possible. I'm way too excited! 🫠
Me: Alright, Claude! I'm ready for the flip*. Let's do it! Claude: ✻ Watchacamalliting... Migration completed. Go check localhost:3000. --- *I'm migrating @usecommune.com from pure client-based React with Vite to React Server Components with Next.js. #buildinpublic #failinpublic
Cycle 2 wrap-up. Two weeks instead of one this time, and the rhythm felt right. What I planned: → Audit the full onboarding flow → Redesign newsletter profiles → Add RSS feed support so creators can connect blogs → Start preparing for ESP partnership conversations #JoinTheCommune #LeaveSubstack
Substack is free until you monetize. Then they take 10% of everything you make. Forever. That's not a free platform. That's a tollbooth with a free onramp. #JoinTheCommune #LeaveSubstack
"Free" pricing pages with Pro tiers, Founding Member badges, and 30-day trials are lying to you. That's not free. That's "free while we figure out how to charge you later." Commune is free forever for the things creators use. Period. 👉 usecommune.com #JoinTheCommune #LeaveSubstack
Ahí lo llevas Asier! 🤘 usecommune.com. Cualquier cosa que veas que no te cuadra me dices. Esto está recién salido del horno 🙂
Unpopular opinion: charging too early doesn't validate your product. It just taxes the early adopters you desperately need and scares off the ones on the fence. Revenue comes after density. Most founders get this backwards. #JoinTheCommune
"I would not have done that on my own without you here." @duv.bsky.social said that while I watched him try to connect his newsletter to @usecommune.com. He hit a wall I didn't know existed because nobody before him told me. So I rebuilt the whole flow. Still a work in progress 👇
Your newsletter should look like yours. Commune now lets creators customize their newsletter profile: logo, featured article, description, social links. One page that represents your brand. Not ours. Here's a few in the wild 👇
First week using structured work cycles for Commune. The idea is simple: plan a fixed set of tasks for a defined period, work on them, then review what shipped and what didn't. No endless to-do lists. Just a few things that matter, a deadline, and an honest look at the end.
I wrote a newsletter issue about that famous video of a guy dancing alone at the 2009 Sasquatch Music Festival. The one that went viral and got used in every leadership talk for a decade.
This week I'm working on getting a lot of metrics to see the health of Commune. Everything is trending in the right direction but there's one metric that I wanted to share with y'all who have newsletters here because I think it's very interesting. usecommune.com/post/4cba5b5...
Our own Joyce Stack just dropped a bomb on Commune 😅 usecommune.com/post/0644d1d...
I just went down a rabbit hole with Steve Willmott's Steampunk AI newsletter this week 😅 Lots of crazy stuff happening! usecommune.com/article/9d5a...
What a lovely book my wife brought me today. I love color combinations. They wake something up inside me. I may use it for Commune at some point. I've been thinking about improving the newsletter profiles design and making it customizable. I can definitely use some inspiration from this book.
Overwhelmed by the support I'm getting with Commune. It's been roughly a month in and there's already a lot of people participating and giving me feedback. When I started AsyncAPI, it took me more than a year to see people beyond my company getting involved.
The @apievangelist.com @kinlane.bsky.social is on Commune now 🚀 👀 usecommune.com/join/3f4cd85...
