Is that supposed to be worse than murdering people because you're bored and "wanted to have an adventure and kill some people?"
If they're trying to do the exact opposite of Lenin, Stalin, and Mao, they should be studying their real heroes.
Today's Sunday Screening was a double-header on Robin Williams! He plays an oddly good psychopath, doesn't he? #OneHourPhoto and #Insomnia! This is my second Nolan film, after Memento, and I'm starting to really like this guy, can I tell ya? Will be looking into more. #filmsky
Today's MS Paint from Silent Hill F puzzles. I was a fool to have chosen "Lost in the Fog" difficulty for puzzles. "Hard" would have been perfectly fine, I think. Even after I solved this one, I didn't understand why it worked. Broken steel pipe to my head, I could not tell you. #SilentHillF
For today's Sunday Screening, we watched #DeliverUsFromEvil by the man who cannot miss, Scott Derrickson. I wasn't sure what to expect from this film, given the low ratings, but I think it was just exactly what I was looking for, today. And that exorcism scene? Woof. #filmsky
Does it count if I planted this Poppy like 4 months ago to feed this little tiny Fairy Bee this morning? Can I make it to heaven, Father?
This Sunday Screening was #TheOthers! It put forth the bleakest interpretation of the afterlife I've witnessed, so far, positing a world where I'd serve overpriced coffee to annoying yuppies for all eternity as opposed to something less cruel, like being submerged in the fiery pits of hell #filmsky
Today's Sunday Screening- #TheNinthGate and #TheConjuring! Neither were profound, but one was a fun time and the other was just so terribly boring, unfortunately! My second Polanski film, so far, along w Rosemary's Baby. I'm not huge on his stuff, tbh, but it's alright. #filmsky
For today's Sunday Screening, we saw #Harvest and #StrangeHarvest so that we could figure out what makes one strange and the other not! The form of both of these films was the most interesting element, in a surprising coincidence. #filmsky
Today's Sunday Screening was a double-feature: #TheRunningMan! I loved the excoriating satire of neoliberalism in the OG. Old ladies screaming for murder, Flight of the Valkyries belting serial murder/SA Cops. Could do without the ironic misogyny. Remake was also good. #filmsky
I went to the Comic-Con Museum today and saw exhibits honoring cosplay and luchadores! I was hit w recoil when I read the name on one of the cosplays and realized that I personally knew the creator from a film set we worked on ages ago!
For this week's Sunday Screening, we sat down for Wes Anderson's latest, #ThePhoenicianScheme! It's more classic Wes Anderson, so it was a good time, if not quite The French Dispatch or The Royal Tenenbaums. Speaking of, Zsa Zsa might be a worse guy, but is still a better father than Royal. #filmsky
So, I may have spoken too soon when I said that Silent Hill: Homecoming wasn't giving ME issues, despite what everyone online was saying. It did crash 2 or 3 times, tonight, on stream. Anyway, as I mentioned, here's the time Jordan Peterson posted Chinese cock-milking fetish porn on twitter.
This week for our Sunday Screening, I presented Suspiria 1977/2018 double feature! I was really surprised by Argento's film, coming off of Phenomena, which was very dissimilar! I wondered how they could possibly remake Suspiria 50 years later, and the answer turned out to be they couldn't. It's not.
We played the first half of FAITH: The Unholy Trinity, today! I like stories about priests having their faith tested by doubt, and stories of paranormal entities, and the screenshots looked cool as heck, so I had a good feeling going in, but I had no idea it was going to be that SCARY! msPaintPuzzle
We played Silent Hill: Homecoming, today! EVERYONE online told me that this is the worst one in the series. When I was researching how to make it run, it was getting nothing but hate. When I played the other games, Chatters told me to look out for this one. Can I tell ya, Faecorns? It's not that bad
We finished the ancient 2006 Point n Click game "Scratches!" It was super cool, and I'm v glad I had the benefit of the Faecorns, who had the benefit of the internet bc MAN was some of that really, REALLY obscure! Then we raided into @lunamothvt.bsky.social , pictured, extremely focused on bugs Yay!
If you ever pay for a streaming service, your soul will be damned to wander the fiery pits of hell for all eternity. That's right. You might see Severence on Apple TV, but you will never see the bountiful and rejuvenating light of heaven.
