A small ship turned on the lathe 😊 #woodworking #woodturning
It turned out that the faceplate works very nicely for glueing together such lengthy structures. #woodworking #woodturning
When you saw one of your bowls, the saying "trust the process" is more important than ever 😊 #woodworking #woodturning
I colored the lid black after considering the input from multiple people. Now the box somewhat resembles a solar eclipse when looking from top 😎 #woodworking #woodturning
Well, it turned out that you are right. The water based stain made it look greyish, and also some fibers don't want to become black. I hope for improvements once I add hard wax oil. I may also add further layers of stain.
A box made from ash with an oak lid. Should I dye the lid in black? #woodworking #woodturning
A little bowl made from lime wood. The blank looked plain, the shape is simple. I quite like this plain, simple bowl 😊 #woodworking #woodturning
This bowl is made from holm oak. It was the first time I worked with this wood. The patterns on it are very exciting 😎 #woodworking #woodturning
I made a little stamp from boxwood. #woodworking #woodturning
Pre-turning another ash bowl. It is my first attempt at a bowl with such a live edge. I hope that the bark survives the drying process 🤞 #woodworking #woodturning
One of multiple ash bowls, which I pre-turned before drying. This wet wood really gives lovely shavings 😊 #woodworking #woodturning
A little bowl made from some nice spalted birch. What do you think? #woodworking #woodturning
A little bowl made from maple. I used a lovely three-component finish, which made it VERY shiny 🤩 #woodworking #woodturning
A bowl turned from some lovely Swiss pine. Fun fact: the wood is from inside the bread box, which I showed in my last post 😎 #woodworking #woodturning
I made this bread bin during a recent woodturning course, where I had access to a larger lathe. It is made from Swiss pine. No finish is applied to preserve the characteristic smell. I wish you could smell it 😅 #woodworking #woodturning
New wood has arrived at my personal lumberyard. 😎 #woodworking
One of the biggest projects so far: cleaning up my workshop 😅 #woodworking #woodturning
Finishing and testing a tea light holder, which I turned recently during a wood turning course. The wood is walnut with a rim made from lime. #woodworking #woodturning
I was at a woodturning workshop till yesterday ... and it was awesome 😎 #woodworking #woodturning
The beginning of a very lengthy project. So far, it is just some turning of a piece of walnut. But this piece has a long road ahead 😎 #woodworking #woodturning
Aren't wooden shavings lovely? 😊 #woodworking #woodturning
Wooden bowl with a charcoaled rim. #woodworking #woodturning
Does anyone know what wood this is? 🤔 #woodworking #woodturning
I practiced turning a hollow form. It is made from walnut. The wall got much thinner than I had initially planned, probably around 2 millimeters at the thinnest part. The inner surface is still a bit rough, though, indicating the need for more practice ☺️ #woodworking #woodturning
A lidded box with a handle inspired by the Starfleet logo from Star Trek 💫 May the upcoming year 2026 be a successful year in your long and prosperous life! 🖖 #woodworking #woodturning
I wish you a festive season and a Merry Christmas! 🎄 Here are three snowmen I turned to join Richard Findley's festive turning challenge. #woodworking #woodturning
Would you call it a bowl or a box? 😅 #woodworking #woodturning
Finally finished turning the wenge piece. Just the lid is still missing ... to be continued 😎 #woodworking #woodturning
Oiling wood is always interesting, but the effect on this piece of wenge was truly amazing. #woodworking #woodturning
