We had an old sugar factory that they tore down in 2010. The smokestack was our iconic landmark. I miss it dearly. The silo still stands but it’s not nearly as interesting.
Another still from a rip last night. From the title credits of “The Terror”. This was before de-interlacing and I had to take a screenshot because the vibe was so good
So I’ve been ripping some DVDs that I bought around 20 years ago. They were those value “ten classic movies!” type thing. I find the ones that are obviously sourced from a tape rip with some digital compression on top to be very charming.
They announced the next 4014 tour yesterday. Here’s the most recent photo I took of it when it stopped by last year.
I made some cheater charts for my lap steel for helping remember how chords fit with the benders
I been working on my custom video player thing lately. It looks a lot like this.
A friend and I formed a duo and made an EP. Our debut, self titled EP, 'Fall Line Drive' releases Friday January 31st. falllinedrive.expirationdaterecords.com
I bought a theremin and it’s a hell of a lot of fun to play. Difficult, but I’m fortunate enough to have a good ear
Finding a gif is hard because it’s the first of three games and the third one is crazy popular. So here’s a still instead
My new single, 'Grace', is now available. Go check it out on your platform of choice. You can find handy links from my site in my bio. mykiefrankenstein.bandcamp.com/track/grace
I don’t think I’ve ever shared photos of my Baritone here. I made this guitar from reclaimed wood that came from the floor of a semi truck trailer. Finished using cheap ebony stain that mostly rubbed off when I applied cheap danish oil. The wood is white oak. TV Jones Starwood pickups.
Didn’t meet any ghosts last night. Went to go have a look at room 217. Maybe I’ll sneak back down there at midnight.
It’s been a long road, but I’m pleased to finally announce that my new album, “Walk the Earth”, will release on Friday the 13th. It’s significantly more ambitious than my previous work, and I can’t wait for you all to hear it. Stay tuned, because I’ll release a single early on Bandcamp 😁
I’ve fashioned a bridge mute out of some packing foam so I can make the parlor guitar sound even more vintage.
