I needed to replace my bottle of Amaro Nardini. I remember paying $40 for a liter years ago, and now it was $32 for 0.7L. Seemed fair until I also noticed that it was lower in ABV (now 29% from 31%). That's shrinkflation part of the equation I hadn't figured on.

4 packed cups of oregano turned into 12 ounces of oregano-peanut and 12 ounces of oregano-walnut pesto! There's more oregano to be harvested (but not in the freezer to store the end product).
I remember months ago hearing someone say "If this were France, we would would be burning stuff in protest." I guess we've reached that level in the last few weeks.
