Bath number five. Left out the Soak and still getting wild amounts of dye bleed. This is bananas.
Some of the skeins I knit this cardigan with were darker and left dye on my hands. Look at all this dye bleed in the first soaking! The second soak is a little paler - will probably go for a third.
On my computer monitor I got 0.0057. All in the same range as the text was the same, I guess.
This is a CAT checkpoint. Show me the most recent cat image on your phone. (Neighborhood cats I tried to befriend)
Today was my last day as league president. I served two terms, six years. So proud of what my league accomplished during my tenure, but happy to pass the torch.
Spending a lot of time thinking about yarn things because it's preferable to doom scrolling. Anyway, here's the mini-skein set I'm winding in anticipation of making a Sea Glass cardigan.
I started reading @kjcharleswriter.com The Magpie Lord as a Christmas treat and, upon finishing, immediately bought the next two books and devoured them. I have no regrets except I don't get to read them for the first time again.
Quote post with a dramatic B&W of you (By the fabulous Nitrate Fox, shot as part of the Jamnesia project)
Knitting up my handspun mini-skein gradient into an underappreciated pattern called Arket. It's so striking! Why haven't more people made this?
40 plus appreciation post! Reskeet with a pic of you're on the right side of 40. 42.
Today I improved my couch. Once used as a scratching post, it now has a jaunty repair. And I now own an upholstery needle.
Why not try an entirely new technique for a project that needs to be completed for an event in one week? Double knitting. So far it makes me hands ache and my brain hurt a little.
I told @oldchum.bsky.social that Lisa Simpson could never be as cool as I am and, well....
Take the fictional characters quiz and post the first four you know. openpsychometrics.org/tests/charac..
Put on my skates for the first time since I broke my leg in October. It was good to be back. I lasted about an hour, just bopping around practice, before my toes and a twinge in my leg told me it was time to stop.
We hosted our new skater scrimmage yesterday. Some of those skaters were at the Bambi on ice stage when I broke my leg 102 days ago, and now they're jamming! So amazing to see progress.
I messed up joining my afghan six hexagons back. Luckily it's only yarn, so it can be fixed. But dang it!
