One of the quickest ways to become miserable is to measure your life against someone else's. It's so easy in the era of well-curated online pictures and stories. We compare our ordinary Tuesday to someone else's highlight reel. Our struggles to their successes. Our doubts to their confidence.
One of the strangest things Christians say is not from the Bible at all. We see all over... "God helps those who help themselves." It's quoted like Scripture. It's embroidered on pillows. It's preached from pulpits.
