Sure you're weedy, and kinda shy, but some girly out there must be needy for a weedy shy guy. Toronto. He/Him.
The last novella in a Canticle for Leibowitz sees the return of modern technology, notably spaceships and nuclear weapons.
I saw Koreeda is doing a live action version of Look Back, which reminded me they made an anime version as well. It was great, just like the manga.
Rewatched the Brutalist. Such an amazing film. Brutalism is the best, also.
And I am done. A lovely book. Hard to read without thinking of the film, though.
Continuing my Hamlet streak, I am reading Hamnet. I bought the edition from the Folio Society, where I currently blow all my money. A lovely book, much like its movie.
I have wanted to read this comic book for some time, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow.
Dark days out there, but at least they’ve remastered Hard Boiled and The Killer in 4K from the original film negatives. These films are both classics!
Finished my re-read of the Interpreter of Maladies, by Jhumpa Lahiri. Such a fantastic collection of short stories. This edition from the Folio Society has illustrations by Shreya Gupta that are so perfect for each story.
So many people marching for a free Iran. Kind of weird being around so many monarchists, but what you gonna do. One solution. Revolution.
I have this album on CD, also the equally amazing acoustic version included in this fancy double LP.
I’m sure the brother are great, but I feel like I did exactly what I wanted to do. I was supposed to see her play in 2020. Hopefully she comes back for her own show soon. Such an amazing artist.
Now listening / watching the first few acts and scenes. Andrew Scott as Hamlet!
Trying to read Hamlet, since I missed reading it in high school, and I just saw Hamnet. I bought this copy a couple years ago, after watching Station 11, which also features a lot of Hamlet. Reading without all the footnotes is hard.
My wife trekked all the way up to Finch West to grab the new LRT. Except it’s not running because it’s too cold. I guess Metrolinx didn’t know about the winter?
