A rough render pass over a sketch I did about 3 years ago of a Iron Lion Heart War Golem I did for my dnd campaign. I was too intimidated back then by all the details to start the render and wasnt sure how to render the gold. Thought to tackle it now as my players are confronting it again!
And the studies continue! 2 more materials added. The chrome one really tested my brain! Great exercise! Note: these are all done with indirect references only
Doing material studies. Wanted to do a more complex shape than just a sphere to see if I can adopt it properly.

Guardian Serpent Illustrated for my dnd campaign. A ritual where old robes, amulets and bones are placed ceremoniously over the skeleton of a great serpent to bring it back to life.
