I have committed heresy against the church of the blue oval and bought a Chevrolet. She’s an ‘07 Silverado 1500 W/T with a 4.3l v6, a 700r4, and 3.23s in the pumpkin. 111k on the clock and an engine you could eat off. The A/C kicks the shit outta the ‘15 F-150 too.

I keep meaning to do more with ‘Timeless’. It’s a supernatural Neo-Noir detective story set in Phoenix during the early days of the AIDS crisis, and centers around a trans femme detective so hard boiled her yolk is a little green investigating disappearances in the queer community. #WIPSnips

There is a leaden something that hangs heavy in the air during the fading days of the Phoenix summer, threatening rain, and violence. A sort of wild magic that a body can feel crackling against the skin.   Lydia Thomas sat in her worn office chair, swirling ice around an empty glass. The room was filled with the rhythmic scratches of a record needle that had run its course and not much else. The office had been empty for two weeks, and it had begun to feel more like her second living room than a work space.   According to the holy phonebook, Thomas investigations was open until 8:30pm, but lately she had taken to locking up around 6:00.   Not tonite though. Tonite, something was going to jump off.   She fixed herself a 7&7, and settled into the chair, slipping out of her worn in leather pumps, letting the b side of In a Silent Way meld with the dull vibrations of rush hour slowly fading on 7th Avenue, and the rising wind.

  Two drinks later, it happened.

  It was 8:35 when a sharp rap interrupted the flow of the music. Lydia was considering just ignoring the knock until she heard a voice that hadn’t graced her ears in nearly a decade.

I love LOTR, and though I am no longer a huge fan of the Jackson film trilogy, I did watch them obsessively when I was young, and the GBA tie in games were pretty solid. I played through this one during one of my childhood bouts with pneumonia, and it has a special place in my heart.

Shadowrun: Dragonfall was the game that made me dig out my unused SR manuals. The story is fucking unbelievable and the opening is so good I stole part of it for ‘The second Crusade’. Glory is my baby, and I will fucking wreck anyone that tries to come for her.

The Legend of Dragoon is my yardstick for JRPGs. I logged well over a thousand hours on this game I’m sure. The story was great, the world felt real, and it was gay coded as hell. I wanted to be Rose so fucking badly.
