Lots of great beers in 2025. The Houston craft beer scene continues to be excellent (despite several closings) and I crammed close to a dozen breweries in during a visit to Vancouver (particular shoutout to Faculty Brewing).

Archaeologists, it's mystery object time! It's an iron rod with a spoon-like end. The other end is missing. Context could be anytime between 19th and 20th century Texas. 🏺
Another mystery item from my metal detector survey in Texas. It's a thin disc about the size of a quarter. Three tiny posts on one side, smooth on the other. 🏺
