Rambam Hilchos Shabbat chapter 21 paragraph 2: A person who levels crevices [in the ground] is liable for [performing the forbidden labor of] plowing. For this reason, it is forbidden to defecate in a field that is lying fallow, lest one come to level crevices.

lol this is in response to calling them out for sharing a "news" item made up by AI (they turned off replies after replying to me so I can't respond). Even if you accept the premise of their argument, in this case they're arguing that it's okay to run pedestrians over cuz cars are inevitable

lol apparently the PHP mailing list held a vote to remove the link to twitter from their website. The vote didn't get the 2/3 needed to pass, this is how they announced the result:

An email that reads: Hi, the vote failed to achieve a 2/3v majority of "yes" votes, so the link to the defunct account on the website owned by the transphobic white supremacist will remain on the homepage of PHP.net. Thanks to everyone who voted. Jim.

I'm still sad about the Torah Scroll Ramon brought. It survived the Holocaust only to burn up in space 😢 (obviously that's far from the biggest tragedy here, but for Jews it has a lot of sentimentality)
