Well, I've seen enough: Troy Jackson's slate has won 301 of the 601 voting delegate spots at the convention, a majority. All 149 that just won in Cumberland were on his slate. Troy Jackson will almost certainly be the next Democratic nominee for Maine's 2026 US Senate election.
Candidates on Troy Jackson's slate have won 152 of the 170 delegate positions throughout Maine so far. 89.4%. Voting in Cumberland County, the biggest prize-with 150 delegates-closes at 7:30 EST. 5 minutes left.
Maine's planned State Convention will be composed of 600 delegates, including 500 distributed proportionally to each county according to their total number of registered Democrats. That’s about 1 delegate for every 611 voters.

Yesterday, two Republicans on the St. Louis County Council abstained on a resolution recognizing June as Pride month. They refused to vote for a St. Louis County that recognizes and welcomes the diversity of humanity. Both are up for election this year:
Big results out of the Californias tonight, with the gubernatorial primaries called as we pass 50% reporting. In North California, Steve Hilton will face off against Tom Steyer this November. In South California, Chad Bianco and Xavier Becerra both advance to the general.
Unlikely but not impossible that Democrats split the vote just a bit too much in CA-06, resulting in a Independent-versus-Republican runoff in the Harris 52.6%, Trump 44.2% seat.

With Cornyn's defeat, we're now up to 13 incumbent US Senators who won't be returning to Congress after this cycle. We're not even at the general election yet, but 2026 has had the most retirements since 2010 (only 2 away from 1996's peak of 13) and the most incumbent-primary-losses since 1980.

oh fuck he got close I pulled up Hilton's 3D floor plan: The video and pictures posted show he sprinted across the floor above before they took him down at a staircase leading directly into the ballroom. A few seconds later and he would have been just opposite Trump.
