All takes (hot, lukewarm, and cold) are completely my own... sometimes they're Croissant's 😉 but we both agree Defund, Abolish, and Prosecute ICE.
Also Missouri defending citizen led ballot initiatives voting down Amendment 4.
Setting the scene. Data centers are a legit wedge issue that unites everyone and wouldn't you know there's a poll for that and "do you feel heard by your elected officials?" You see the weave I'm weaving? People don't feel heard about this big thing and we should advocate for community power.
Update 🫠 they ruled the data center resolution out of order because 🤷🏽♀️ I asked for specific issues/ concerns from the staffer who never got back to me. My assumption this time since I didn't advocate for a moratorium is because I talked about the NDAs that steal the opportunity of community input.
Just finished canvassing with @doitjewett.bsky.social and having snowballs in Congressional District 1. #GeauxVote
Americans believe there's a genocide in Palestine by a +19% margin. Candidates speaking out against the genocide ARE ELECTABLE, don't let anyone convince you to stick with the establishment option if their Congressional votes don't align with your morals yougov.com/en-us/articl...
And so it begins.... @democrats.org are starting the behind the scenes dealings to prevent any discussion about ICE, community input about data centers, and adherence to the Leahy laws.

Might be a good time to plug a resolution I'm introducing to be heard at the Summer DNC Meeting (if they don’t black ball me again and rule it out of order) 'Resolution Recognizing People Killed or Abused by ICE and Calling for Accountability at the Department of Homeland Security'

Julia Letlow is tying herself to Jeff and Liz. If you know of on the fence Republicans who signed the recall... might be a good time to remind them that Letlow will be a puppet for Jeff Landry the #clownfish #nolasky #Louisianasky
Who the hell at @entergy.com thinks it's a good idea to cut power without notice when we have a heat advisory and real feel is at 99 degF this morning in #nolasky? Seriously @nolacitycouncil.bsky.social
Louisiana had 17.26% turnout based on unofficial results: 196,190 Democratic + 316,538 Republican= 512,728 closed primary votes. Jamie Davis votes: 163,549 (May) vs 156,776 (June). FWIW less than 5% drop between primary & runoff is impressive. Letlow votes: 179,903 (May) vs 179,971 (June).
Alright #neworleansky #nolasky a total of 35,800 of you voted in the runoff (13.5% turnout). Let's start talking about politics within our circles and breaking down how what legislatures do in far away rooms impact our day to day. Gotta lock in for November 3rd and flip some seats. #GeauxVote
Help spread the word about the election with Team @jamieforlouisiana.bsky.social at their #nolasky HQ at 803 N. Broad St.
Idk how to feel about this but I always felt like I'm more of a Green Party person
Completely effing normal reaction... et tu @bynum.house.gov You're promoting big business and industry profits over the material needs of your voters now 😒
Ok now New Orleans Marie breaking my projection and ending at 9,065 early votes. Now let's beat 34,865 total votes (13.2% turnout). So if you or your people didn't early vote... Election Day is Saturday, June 27th. #GeauxVote
But I'm a realist and I think it's 13.3% - 15.1% unless some excitement gets injected into the race. And we have plenty of analogous races we can compare. Everything about the article is intellectually lazy.
If you know someone who lives here... give them an encouraging word to go vote.
One of these agendas is not like the others #Louisianasky #nolasky #Democrats... Mind you a formal strategic plan was turned into the chair this week. I think they're pulling ratification of the strategic planning document off the agenda. 👀
Imagine a city with more (or any) rooftop wind turbines. They're not all boring, some even look like art installations. I mean have you seen a GeoWind? Just whimsical art powering homes. Hormutz is great for capitalists but bad for us consumers. Go green to fight back. ifdesign.com/en/winner-ra...
