This crazy vegan finally penned a surreal science fiction. SUPPOSE WE crashed on a planet but natives are so advanced they ignore the humans. “Original mouth agape concepts” Non-vegans praise it in 5* reviews! #firstcontact #sciencefiction mybook.to/SupposeWe
I can only make the plywood model bicycle award my son gave me a bit at a time. Nearly 200 pieces. I'm going cross-eyed and my finger tips get sore!
In 1969 I supplemented my student grant by making ships out of Christmas walnut shells.
Just done Wordle after cycling to the Trafford Centre. Coffee shop open at 0830 on a Sunday!
@rosannedingli.bsky.social just about to start on your collection, Rosanne

At my favourite garden centre cafe where I edit drafts while sampling their wares. I left at 7 am to beat the heat. High Legh, Cheshire. As you might guess, I enjoy cycling on the IOM too.
Playing the piano has made me deaf. My fault. I wanted to practice Chopin at midnight, so I had to remove my hearing aids and use headphones with my electric piano. A Kaiwai...beautiful tone. Next day could I find those hearing aids? No chance. Piano playing made me deaf.
Hiked up to the top of Milner's Tower on top of Bradda Head, IOM before rushing for the bus to the ferry. Oh, and sold a copy of my INCREMENTAL collection of surreal stories.
Once upon a time my favourite clouds were altocumulus lenticularis (flying saucers) but now it's Helmholtz Kelvin.
Am I in Japan? No. Groundel Glen waterwheel, Isle of Man. Keeping cool.
We walked 5 miles along Marine Drive, Isle of Man. A month ago the council resurfaced this part by mistake!
Both of us have aching feet after walking all day. Nearly 20,000 steps. A Lancaster WW2 bomber flew around the coast here at Douglas, Isle of Man AND a Spitfire!!
Coincidence!! Two of my editing clients from years ago are sitting side by side at the Liverpool Book Bonanza! They've never met, even on line but now they are chatting with me in common! Rodney Milton (science fantasy humour) and Kate McCann (Romcom and self awareness)
@garethlpowell.bsky.social There's my books Then there's a fine collection...
Groningen is also fabulous because they gave my Hot Air thriller a d'Argent award in 2008 and the Prix d'Or in 2009. I collected it with my daughter and gave a short speech at the University Arts Theatre. Photo of daughter in Groningen in 2009.
Funny how when I reach a cafe on a journey my gear and helmet draw people in to start a conversation...usually about cycling / weather / geography. It's the cycling equivalent of taking a dog for a walk.
