One of my favourite train trips was having the company of these two between Munich and Verona through the Dolomites 🙂
I’m always pretty vocal about this cos I have a nervous breakdown to show for learning the lesson myself 🤦🏻♂️ In other news, this is a screenshot of what the Bluesky app popped up when I clicked reply 😳😂
The train rise up the Welsh border is stunning at the best of times, but even better with a half tidy sunset 🙂
I'd love to see a vehicle energy rating system like we use for houses and electrical appliances Rating based on things like weight, size, grill height, fuel economy & emissions Could be then used to assess the cost of things like parking permits, per-mile-pricing, annual vehicle tax etc
Thought we were gonna struggle to make the Eurostar despite arriving 1h15 before departure. Thankfully there was order behind the chaos and on the (lovely air conditioned!) train with 15 mins to spare Predictable amount of poor behaviour from angry older Brits thinking they were above queuing 🙄🤦🏻♂️
Starting the journey home. Only Eurostar we could get was 0830 tomorrow so we’re heading to Paris today and staying right next to Gare du Nord. Problem today is the heatwave. Trains travelling slower as a precaution. Already 10 mins late and told we could be up to an hour late into Paris.
Gonna miss St Jean de Luz. Have definitely fallen in love with Pays Basque over the last couple weeks
Few things better than landing in a random French (actually Basque) town on its festival day. Dancing to Nirvana played by a brass band in 32c heat at 10pm wasn’t on my bingo card for today. Currently sweating like a Tory MP in an expenses audit 😂
Plaza Neuva - basically a wine and Pinxos crawl around 15+ bars in the square 🙂
The Euskatel train actually starts in France (just). 200m and a bridge over a river later, I’m in Spain for the first time ever 😳
