finished I Gave You Eyes and You Looked Towards Darkness & it was like nothing I've read before It takes place over one day, but also hundreds of years, following the women of a farmhouse called Mas Clavell. Steeped in Catalan folklore, it read like a dark fairytale, raw & mesmerizing ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love a haunted house story, I love a book where art is a main theme, I love an indie horror novella, so I knew I'd like Rootfingers from the start. Finished it in one sitting, it was awesome & quite creepy, I'm glad I read it during the day 😅 ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I found this absolutely stunning book from the early 1900s today. It's slightly falling apart & I have no idea what it's about but it was too beautiful to not bring home.

Old 1900 book called Darkness and Daylight by Mary J Holmes
It's brown clothbound with intricate black designing on the cover, a torn image of a pensive looking lady's face in a reverse triangle at the top, probably part of a painting. The title used to be gold gilded but it all faded. The edges of the book are fraying. It is beautiful

Inside the cover is handwritten
"Susie Hodge
Dec. 25 1908."

One object that makes me feel nostalgic af are those old portable dvd players. I spent most my time in hs with that thing on me, borrowing old movies from the library & watching them whenever I had the chance. Twas my main reprieve from the horrors of adolescence & it was awesome
