Actor buds! Resume? If you book outside word of mouth, how do you format the film and tv credits? For role, character name or level of role or both? Different between platforms (skybolt versus actors access)? I saw a CD say only the role size tells them if you’re “ready” to be seen by them.

I miss #LegendsOfTomorrow not just because it was a found family that made space for my favorite codependent pair of thieves #CaptainCold and #HeatWave but also the community that had sprung up around it and the CW shows. The writers, producers and fans from around the world bonded over that ship.

For those diagnosed and those who aren’t… and others who are their buds…

Stacy Bias Check in on your queer friends with ADHD/AuDHD right now cuz their Justice Sensitivity combined with their Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria means that they are both acutely aware of how f*cked up things are *and* also feel personally responsible for fixing it *while* dealing with the helplessness inherent in the reality that individual action is not gonna do it this time. This means that their brains/bodies are going into overdrive and also that they are feeling guilty for any kind of self-care or joy in their lives because their brain weasels are telling them that resting or being happy while others cannot/are not is selfish. It's an exhausting state and we're not OK.

ETA: This emotional state of dysregulation is very real and I wanted to name it so folks both knew to check in on each other *AND so folks in that state (like I was!) could recognise it, name it, and do the work to pull out of it. So here are some ideas on how to regulate when we're feeling like this:
1) Understand the mental processes taking place so you can be in charge of them instead of them taking charge of you. (Proactive vs. Reactive)
2) Take a LOT of deep breaths and drop into your physical senses. Smell/taste/touch/look at/listen to nice and soothing things to get grounded.
3) Remind yourself or ask others to remind you that there is much beyond your control and no one can or should attempt to carry the weight of the world on their individual shoulders. Try to set some solid boundaries around what issues you're willing and able to pay attention to and:
4) Combat paralysis by making a list of small, doable actions that contribute positively to people or projects around you and LET WHAT YOU CAN DO BE ENOUGH.
Pace yourself.
5) Recognise that your peace and joy are as necessary for your survival as air and water and that no one is good to any fight if they crash out. Joy and Rest are NECESSARY.
6) Did I mention deep breaths and grounding? Do that more.
