I came back from EMF camp to a mostly dead main daily-driver PC. A week later not only do I have even more screen real estate, I’m gaming at a solid 60fps for the first time, well, ever probably (at least on my own PC hardware)

One thing nobody tells you about running a conference, the sheer amount of stuff you amass in the run up, and this is with most of the bulky ‘for participants’ stuff (the stuff we have 400 of each of) being at Grom’s!
I did say I’d post about my side projects more often, well for a few months they all get put aside, whilst I become one of the team behind BSides Leeds. We’re just one week away, so time to go and rescue the BSides organisers essentials box from the loft!

U14s Ball Hockey Done. 1 Goal (on video for once), 1 MVP award (kinda ‘man of the match’), and 2 games in goal. Now time for a spot of lunch before doing it all again in the u16s!

Manchester in the sun for the BSides Manchester relaunch/tester evening gives me an excuse to finally pop the tags on these bad boys after years.
Riffling though my dads vinyl collection, I now understand why early @lancashirehotpots.bsky.social stuff felt comfortable and familiar to me (There is also some Brian Dewhurst stuff in there, which Dickie may be one of the few people to remember)
