Looking through the holiday snaps. Pwllheli, Llanbedrog and Church Island. Be back soon.
I’ll take one from the Monday please Carol, two from the Tuesday, two from the Thursday and one from the Friday.
Hey lads it’s FIFTY years since we all met each other at that gig. Hope you’ve all still got your tickets like I have look.
I know what I did 40 years ago today. Went up to this with my mate Ant (RIP) in his Mini 1000.
New Stoke away kit. Not mad about it. The slightly weird Mitchell/Spitfire obsession strikes again. Mind you I haven’t been to an away match in about 25 years so I suppose it’s got sod all to do with me.
Alan Moore knows the score (again). I love these Long London books. Layers of Ackroyd, Huxley and Carroll and sprinkled with some great gags.
Got the old loft hatch and Velux at half-mast which theoretically creates a chimney effect through the house and draws out the warm air. It does seem pretty effective tbf as long as you’ve also got the curtains closed in all the requisite hotspots.
Well would ya look at that. My Frasier crush Peri Gilpin just turned up playing a journalist in Cheers ♥️
Very much enjoying this today. Described as west coast psychedelic rock from Falmouth. Strictly speaking I wouldn’t say Falmouth was on the west coast so let’s assume they’re referring to a certain Californian feel. Anyway it’s very good.
This is what happens when you series-link a show that’s on three times a day but you only watch one or two episodes a week. I’ll be alright if there’s another plandemic (c. Ian Brown)
Present and correct! Assuming it’s the top one here? Can’t remember the venue for the second one - possibly the HE College in Stafford? @marcrileydj.bsky.social
Loose end. Pub. Despite appearances this is Beartown’s Crème Bearlée. Actually came out for a summery IPA or lager or summat but then you see an all time favourite on the tap and what ya gonna do eh?
Remembering Jim on the 55th anniversary of his death. Not saying I’d want to get stuck in a lift with the old boy but those records and live performances speak for themselves. I’ve been to pay my respects in Paris twice and it was much busier the second time than the first if that tells us anything.
Can I just point out that kilts and kilns aren’t mutually exclusive? In fact a kilt would be quite a good choice for kiln work allowing as it does for the circulation of cool air.
Today is International Reggae Day in case you didn’t know. I should think my neighbour has worked it out by now 🇯🇲
This just made me shudder as you’ll understand if you’re familiar with the Red Riding Quartet.
Happy birthday to the great Mick Jones. The one out of The Clash I mean not the one out of Foreigner. I have nothing against Mick Jones out of Foreigner but a) I very much prefer The Clash and b) it’s not even his birthday.
