My Ecoflow Stream Ultra, which took some doing to get... I don't have any solar panels connected to it yet, but I do have it programmed to charge its 1.92 kWh battery from the grid during the day, and then discharge it during our peak demand grid rate.
This is relatively tame example of the religious fundamentalist imagery and messaging coming from the Victor Marx fanatics on social media. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Many of these folks want to see "The Handmaid's Tale" happen in real life.

If Microsoft follows their normal, (but unofficial and unwritten) SQL Server servicing release cycle, we should see SQL Server 2025 CU7 and SQL Server 2022 CU26 being released on July 16, 2026. Of course, I have jinxed it by saying this... #SQLServer #SQLServer2025 #SQLServer2022
This is more confirmation that the "Auto Index Compaction option" is not in the Database Properties and New Database dialogs when you are connected to SQL Server 2025 (at least with the default new database properties). IIRC, I think that option requires that ADR is enabled?
Microsoft has released SSMS 22.8.0, which has a number of interesting improvements and bug fixes. I am pretty sure that "Auto Index Compaction" is not in SQL Server 2025 yet. It is probably just in Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL MI. #sqlserver #SSMS

Messing around with a new UGREEN DXP4800GT NAS. Adding some RAM and two M.2 SSDs for read/write caching.
Here is an example, where the OS is reported as Windows 10 Pro, even though it is actually Windows 11 Pro 25H2. Windows Server versions (where SQL Server should be running for Production use) report the OS correctly.

Does he have something like a Crosley "all-in-one" system? Lots of people start off with something like that and eventually end up getting something much better. Usually, they are very impressed with the difference in sound quality, even with an entry-level turntable/cartridge

These are the comparative CPU-Z CPU tabs between the two AMD Threadripper CPUs. Zen 4, 5nm StormPeak vs. Zen 5, 4nm Shimada Peak.
Pretty significant increase in CPU-Z scores going from twenty-four Zen 4 cores to thirty-two Zen 5 cores.
New Gigabyte TRX50 AI TOP motherboard AMD Threadripper 9970X CPU and Silverstone AIO are installed. Still have some cleanup work to do, but I'm getting there.
I've made my computer very busy with a hard prompt using the gemma-4-31b model. 24GB of GDDR7 VRAM is not enough for this, it has spilled over to about 20GB of DDR5-6400 system RAM, which is much slower.
BTW, this is the main cast from the 1957-1966 Perry Mason. William Hopper (sitting at the right) played Paul Drake, not Monte Markham. I'm having some fun doing this, but this exercise reinforces my opinion that LLMs will confidently assert things that are simply incorrect.
Hehe. I've been trying to convince a local LLM Gemma 4 model running on my PC that Monte Markham (who was born in 1935) was never in the 1957-1966 version of Perry Mason. I am finally winning the battle. It is the gemma-4-26b-a4b model.
Time to bust out my 960GB Intel Optane 905P drive to see if it will help with layer swapping and check pointing with a local LLM system.
