I’m excited to see this at Pittsburgh CLO. Many of the women in attendance are wearing white.
Bruno is smitten with the new girl in the neighborhood, Peach. 🍑 They love to play bow and dive at each other. 🐕
2 perfect days for joy riding in the Miata. Manual transmissions make me very happy.
Meteorologically, it’s a cloudless, sunny day here in suburban Pittsburgh. Wildfire smoke is thick & smelly. I had to wear an N95 to (briefly) walk the dogs. 😔
Happy 4th of July? Bruno and I sleep through the noise, but poor little Maggie trembles & pants heavily. I wish PA had never made fireworks legal.
Imagine the amount of energy a huge parking lot like this could capture if it was equipped with solar panels. Makes me crazy that the sunlight is wasted, being absorbed into the asphalt.
The pups don’t like the heat, but they are happy to relax under the ceiling fan.
The Dali is in the Kelingrove Art Gallery & Museum. It’s got quite an eclectic collection.
Hey @isabel.kim, I promised I would buy Sublimation after it sold out at the Pittsburgh Book Fest, and I did! Can’t wait to read it. 📕
Bruno enjoying his new kiddie pool on this unusually hot June day. 🐕 💦
Bruno and I took a stroll at South Park after Treibball class. This cascades area is so pretty, I’m glad it was restored. He is on leash, but I edited it out of the picture.
Hmmm, it resembles this car, owned by my Dad’s family in 1949. The chrome side trim and rear wheel cover look similar. The family was partial to Buicks.
I love this piece of public art in Bridgeville, PA. I’d sit and have a chat with these 2 ladies, but I am underdressed.
Chateau de Chenonceau on the Cher River. It’s fun to edit people out of photos and still see their shadows on the ground.
I’m doing some “light” reading over the holiday weekend. I was a young adult when the steel industry was dying in Pittsburgh. I remember KDKA anchor Bill Burns covering the decline. Many names in this book are familiar. I’m just fascinated by local labor history.
I stopped by my favorite greenhouse (Broniak & Kraf on Washington Pike in South Fayette) to pick up my first batch of May annuals. Their flowers always last the full growing season. 🌺
Street entertainers in Nice, France. This couple worked until well after dark, adding props & donning sequined attire later in the performance. He’s definitely working hard on his moves.
Lyon, France street musicians and a woman dancing 💃 like no one is watching. I love coming across scenes like this when I travel.
The pups have had meals, snacks, walks, play time and Saturday night bully sticks, but I’m still getting stared down. 😂
@scalzi.com Yay! You’re coming to Pittsburgh! Hope to see you at this event.
