The Vampire Lestat I really enjoyed the series though I must admit that I was a bit overwhelmed by information from time to time and things were going over my head but by and large most everything made sense by the end. Probably didn't help that I never saw the Interview With A Vampire series.
The Last Duel = A+ Damn that was a good movie. The last duel itself was glorious. I still can't figure out if the mom was in on it. She left Marguerite alone despite being explicitly ordered not to do so. Also, and not to be a hater but is Adam Driver really as handsome as the movie suggests?
The Manchurian Candidate = B- Something was a little off with this one. I guess I'm just used to Denzel kicking major ass throughout his movies. This movie had little to none of that. Plus the story was a little whack. (Or the execution of it)
True Grit = A+ Jeff Bridges & Hailee Steinfeld were especially terrific. Matt Damon was fun too but he wasn't given as much to work with. I guess I'll have to seek out the original at some point.
The Pacific I'm not sure it was "Band of Brothers good" but it was pretty damn good in it's own right. Shit, I still have tears running down my face as I type this.
I'm only on episode 6 of Season 1 but I feel I can safely say Six Feet Under is amazing.
The White Lotus Season 2 The cinematography & aesthetic is second to none. The rest of the show is just so damn mid. I pretty much felt the same way about Season 1.
The Hangover Part II = A+ Wonder how much Justin Bartha (Doug) gets paid for these movies. He's got it made. I think my favorite scene in this one was Stu singing Alantown.
Jerry Maguire = C Was really expecting to like this a lot more than I actually did. If it wasn't for that kid Ray, I would've graded it even lower.
The Exorcist = A+ WOW Even more impressive is that it came out in 1973. Must've been truly revolutionary at the time. Additionally, I now understand and love Scary Movie 2 even more than I already did. (It's one of my all-time favorites if you can believe that)
The Longest Yard = A+ Loved all the guest stars, cameos, wrestlers,.... basically everything. Soundtrack was fantastic. Story was fun.
Jurassic Park = A+ That was even better than I anticipated. The raptors were terrifying. The little girl was hilarious.
In Time = C Interesting concept. Timberlake was pretty solid. All in all, not too shabby.
SkyFlight somehow gets worse every time I see them. 🤼 I don't think I'll ever recover from that Sydal debut massive botch. Botches generally don't bother me but that one was something else.
Vegas Vacation = B Pretty darn funny. I still can't get over there being a different Rusty and Audrey in each movie. I think I've seen 4 of the 5 movies and completely missed this. I thought Anthony Michael Hall was in all of them.
22 Jump Street = B+ I watched this a bit disjointed as I saw half last week and finally got back to it tonight. So it might be a bit better or a bit worse than I remember. The fight/kiss scene with Jillian Bell & Jonah Hill was amazing.
The Devil Wears Prada = A It didn't hurt that Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway & Stanley Tucci are 3 of my favorites. Can't wait to watch the second one!
Uncut Gems = C- / D+ Little too bleak for my taste. Certainly was interesting to see dramatic Sandler. Don't think I've ever seen that side of him before. The most unrealistic part of the movie was Doc Rivers winning a Game 7.
Close Encounters of the Third Kind = A+ I was completely frozen in place that entire time the big spaceship was on screen. What a movie!
