😊 I love how normalized family biking has become in Seattle. When I started working on bike advocacy 13 years ago, you only would have seen this many family-bikes at a meetup or something. Now it’s just another concert evening at Volunteer Park. Still room to grow and bring this joy to more families

Now that Seattle has a fantastic continuous trail-like experience from Interbay to Alki Point should we give this route a cohesize name? Right now we have (from N->SW), the Elliott Bay Trail, downtown waterfront bike lanes, Portside Trail, West Seattle Bridge Trail, and then the Alki Trail.

This addresses one of the most common complaints I hear: that it's hard to get the Market before most things close for folks who work 9-5. They are also advertising that they will be validating parking for people who spend over $50 on those evenings, which will be an interesting experiment.
