This is the problem I have… …and, because my minimum is “one continuous mile every day”, the continuous mile just after midnight on the Sunday, maybe five miles from the finish, was one of the toughest in all these years.

When I flew out from a long weekend in Italy to surprise my parents just in time before it turned into the longest weekend ever… I first heard the word ‘Coronavirus’ whilst over there… Patient 0 had not long run the HM in my parents’ town… …I’ll never fathom how folk there got masks so quickly!!!

Four years ago, I got there early as I was RD. A birthday treat. Today’s birthday treat was a 50-miler for my 50th including a stop at “the parkrun café” where I was met by friends. Took the selfie below once I’d finally dragged myself away from the comfort…
Should have looked at my watch earlier… I was up at 03:30… though no idea why I was up that early last year!!! 😂
How convenient that it had a recovery firm’s number plastered all over it… not that numbers on sides of buses are renowned for their accuracy, of course…

Visited my parents in the town in Italy where I grew up. Should have told the staff in a local bar that abbreviating ‘analcolico’ (“alcohol-free”) in a touristy town is not a good idea. Couldn’t quite find the right words so didn’t.
