Went to an epic gig yesterday. Moby in Greenwich Naval College. What I didn't get though was how many groups of Tarquins and his corporate gilet mates there'd be, just chatting loudly through the set and only occasionally pausing to take a snap for Instagram. Why spend ££s on a ticket then do this?
Played cards last night. This one kept on spooking me. George 6th looks suspiciously musky.
Finding every excuse to leave the living room because it is too stressful in there.
Dog to the rescue to warm me up on the sofa during this infernal heatwave.
Ice block in front of mini fan on a 34 degree day. Am I pissing in the wind here?
Just watched Martin Kemp doing a Sunlife ad and my Autumn years are tauntingly calling me.
In the late 80s, my parents, my three siblings and I drove from Dorset to Scotland for a two week camping holiday in an Austin Maestro. Part of the fun of it was seeing how cleverly we could pack everything into a tiny space. We had a great holiday.
Temperatures absolutely plummeting for me today. I might put my coat on.
The joys of having an 18 year old who has just had his last A-level. I need to be up for work in 3 hours.
I found this doll's head in my vegetable patch a few years ago. It was just sitting there staring at me. She now lives inside a screwtop jar wrapped in layers of tissue. I didn't dare do anything else in fear of being cursed.
Just voted in favour of minor past clumsiness and silliness - as opposed to grifting, racism and cavorting with paedophiles and rubbish billionaires. The press can scrape the barrel as much as they like, but nothing feels as good as Green Hope 💚
Took my old Dad here last night. He struggled on the steps but was very determined to get down into the cave and tap his toes to some boogie woogie piano.
My Dad has just arrived, because I'm taking him to Paris tomorrow for his 85th birthday. This is the map he's brought with him. From 1960.
Eldest daughter sent a photo from the Roman baths in Bath. All I can see is Michael Spicer, who I actually think is quite brilliant, but the Romans foresaw his presence on this earth.
I saw her last night at Banquet Records and I am also a little bit in love ❤️
"Ok, so what can we put on the front page? There just doesn't seem to be much happening in the world right now..."
Absolutely appalled by how much poppadoms have shrunk in recent years. Definitely not worth the plastic packaging they come in any longer.
