My painting of Queen Mab, who sadly died last year; we miss her dreadfully. Hopefully she's now living the dream I imagined for her when I did this painting a few years ago.
I always get so excited when I manage to get a decent pic of Barry or Rufina the red kite that I can't keep it to myself anyway.... 🙄🤣
This is a winter photo of Barry Buzzard who used to come to our shed roof for his dinner when hunting wasn't good. We hadn't seen him since March - and this evening he's back with lighter plumage & looking very pleased with himself. Up to date photo to follow when he stays still long enough!
Set the saucers in line with the camera so the hogs have to position themselves properly. Doesn't always work but with trial and error..... This one made me laugh: note little hog up the steps!
This is outrageous, we cannot have two-tier justice in the UK, it undermines all the judiciary stands for. The statue of Justice has her wearing a blindfold to underline her impartiality. The law must be fair to all or it counts for nothing & becomes corrupted.
The magic lane on this morning's dog walk - nice and cool and shady under those boughs! Plenty of birds and butterflies; brambles too so blackberries in the autumn.

It's good fun when it's larp (live action role play) when everyone can be extremely silly. The best bit is sitting round the campfire at night with the wine & beer flowing freely recounting the adventures of the day.
The river (just down the road from me) is still looking stunning this morning, its banks covered with wildflowers.

Salisbury Cathedral rooftop tour - so good I've done it three times. Astonishingly good & the most amazing history. Look at this medieval windlass below the spire. Stunning stuff. Hmm, but perhaps not after a few bevvies as there are some interesting heights to negotiate... 🤣

I'm rubbish at heights - I'm fine going up but am a gibbering idiot coming down. I made a total fool of myself when walking Hadrian's Wall & had to descend Sycamore Gap (when there was still that magnificent tree) on my bum... 🙄🤣 I could ascend Steel Rigg onto the Whin Sill w no problems.
Birmingham has its Museum & Art Gallery with its wonderful collection of pre Raphaelite and other paintings. Whatever its shortcomings I'd gladly settle there so I could wander into the gallery to sit quietly and enjoy, regularly, looking at 'Work' by Ford Maddox Brown. Oh wow, perfection!
It has been raining down here in the valley but not higher up. 🤣This is what it looks like when it rains heavily on the mountains.
They clearly have a list of identifiable groups they want to subjugate. Start with the easily recognisable immigrants, then go for the gay & trans people. Next, chain the women to the bed and/or kitchen sink in a Kinder Kuche Kirche manner so beloved of the Nazis....
I have something similar but less toothy & more collie, but clearly not with the same attitude!
