This was me in 2001 with the promo poster from the Garbage album “Beautiful Garbage.” “Androgyny,” the song/video from that album, was a revelation (see below). I was already obsessed with the phenomenon of androgyny. There were ways to explore gender and sexuality in rural Louisiana at that time.
New Orleans, ICE out, Justice for Lorenzo Salgado
Everything else notwithstanding, in 2016 my life with cats was perfect. I wish they were both here.
I’m going through old accounts to recover things, found one of the earliest pics of my cat. I was 30 here. She’s 13 now.
Sit down and listen, a Ukrainian Nazi is speaking.
Rev. Chambers was a titan of the movement in Baltimore. Young people need to know about elders like her who never gave up and fought to the very end. mailchi.mp/pipeline/rev...
They’re seriously trying to twink-bait us with this Young Washington lmao. Next we’ll have Timothée Chalamet as Benjamin Franklin.
This really encapsulates what’s wrong about liberal opposition to Trump. They still valorize the project of the United States and the slave owning founding fathers. On’t look at what they said, look at the RESULTS of 1776 and capitalism — humanity is on the brink.

Dr. Gerald Horne’s talk tonight in New Orleans was great, the occasion being his new book, The Capital of Slavery: Washington, D.C. 1800-1865. His words are a needed corrective to all “America” 250 nonsense. He said counterrevolution means great reversal, and that’s how he characterizes 1776.

This is from LA Chicano poet Matt Sedillo’s collection Mowing Blades of Grass. This captures how I saw LA, as this Brown city, like an Indigenous capital but a world city, with this artificial thing (Hollywood billboards etc.) superimposed over it
I found this photo of groundbreaking transgender Marxist activist Leslie Feinberg Bob McCubbin’s belongings, another titan of of movement in the U.S. Blob passed away last year in San Diego.
This Saturday in Los Angeles. I’ll be there.
The U.S.-imperialist military industrial complex made Elon Musk a trillionaire. The man who took a chainsaw to taxpayer-funded social spending was himself built by the capitalist state. Struggle-La Lucha articles by Gary Wilson, link in comments
June 30 Cuba webinar hosted by Wisconsin Bail Out the People with Comrade Melinda Butterfield and myself
If you’re in Los Angeles on June 20, I and two other queer and trans Marxist-Leninist activists who went on LGBTQIA+ delegations to Cuba will be speaking at a special Pride Month forum. Come check it out!
Only surprising to brainwashed Westerners
The ducks who live at my apartment complex seem to like the south Louisiana monsoon season. There are literally hundreds of ducks in the property, probably because it’s a three minute walk to Lake Pontchartrain.
This was my city, New Orleans, during the George Floyd uprising in 2020. Thousands were in the street. I was a minor organizer of this action (on security) and I had never seen anything of this scale here. This was the trend 2017-2020. Protests kept getting bigger. We can do this again.
