I think there's about 80 on the specials I could work my way through? Although I think I have done a bit more than half of them, maybe? That'll be tonight's job, to update the spreadsheet haha :)
Because I'm painfully Dundonian and a lot of you are data nerds, I scored my attempts as thus: 125 Teckle - I was pleased with the result, 82%! Delighted! 19 Minter - I was embarrassed by my efforts 9 Bowin - These were completely inedible
It's been so much of my life I'm not quite ready to let it go haha. The list will continue to grow with the new season in 2 months, another 10 or so. Would I be made to just start adding on the Festive / Celebrity specials and work my way through them?
There's been a metric ton of flour and icing sugar, and tears and laughs, and I've lost count of the times I've called Paul Hollywood various sweary words for his horrendous attempts at instructions. And all throughout, we've been our usual childish selves.
My first thought was the technical challenges from the Great British Bake Off. So I started a spreadsheet... In January 2021 we started our first bakes from the list. Yesterday, 5.5 years later, I completed the 153rd bake. These really lovely spring rolls!
At the end of 2020, in the heart of COVID, me and a few friends were feeling a bit fed up of making the same banana bread and sandwich loaves we always did. We wanted to try new stuff and learn new skills and be pushed out of our comfort zone. So I thought about a list of bakes to work through.
Climbed this ridge line yesterday! View from Meall a' Bhuachaille facing West over Creagan Gorm, Creag a' Chaillich and Craiggowrie.
I'm going away for a few days and I'm not sure what kind vibe we're going for so I'm just gonna cover all eventualities.
Disabled people, trans people, immigrants and other vulnerable minorities - we're all wrong, Starmer was lovely and decent to us. The centrists have decided! We can't have agency, or lived experience. We need white women to tell us instead! Screenshot included, for when she takes the huff
I'm especially happy for the Labour candidate here. She got what she deserved, with her TERFy talking points.
Good pals let you come to their house for a bath. Better pals don't fill the bath with pish first haha (An unfortunate coloured bath bomb here!)
It's election day today, and not one of the candidates came out clearly for my rights. Several (Labour, Tory, Reform) came out actively against them. SNP & Libs quiet. If they don't want to even pretend to be an ally to me, then they fuck off if they think they're getting my vote.
Centrists continue to demonstrate that they care more about some people saying the word "fuck" than about a community being genocided. That we just aren't being polite enough as our siblings die. Never trust a LibDem, or anyone else without morals or principles. Victim blaming cunts.
They can block me, but it doesn't mean they're not fucking scum... We can see you...
What do I do here? Do I want to vote for: Tories (piss diamond flavour) Tories (independent edition) Tories (original recipe) Tories (extra transphobic version) Tories (now with extra added racism)
I might have made a little too much food for last night's birthday party haha. Usually we watch Eurovision but we decided if we wanted songs about fascism and genocide they should at least be decent tunes, and watched Wicked instead. Proud of my puns though!
I got sent this by a pal and I feel it's appropriate (Thanks @dommgoss.bsky.social )
Compare and contrast the way the Met Polis speak to the far right and to the centre left. ACAB, now and forever. xx
