Breakfast today: grilled peanut butter (fresh ground in store only peanuts), #Vegemite, provolone cheese, and fresh blueberry sandwich.
I first saw a print of M.C. Escher back in the 1970s in my uncle’s room (yes he and his pals sparked up). The poster was of “Stars” but had been made into a black light print. Also, “Chameleon” by Herbie Hancock is on of my favorite tunes.
@schumer.senate.gov is a hypocrite. Moreover, by this fundraising USPS campaign he demonstrates how he has absolutely no intentions to resist at least not in any meaningful manner. Schumer, either get to work removing Trump et all BY ANY MEANS or step aside.

This is a common hop (Ptelea trifoliata) tree not far from my home. I can be used to bitter beer in lieu of hops as the name implies. My understanding is that German and Czech settlers in Texas (starting around 1840) used the seeds to bitter beer before they were able to obtain hops.

Preparing “far” (fire) for pork chops. I usually make an all wood fire, no fire starting fluid or even wax. I started this fire with cedar (Texas juniper) bark. Using oak wood with soaked mesquite chips.
One of my favorite snacks: apple cut bite sized and fresh ground (in store) peanut butter (only ground roasted peanuts).
Sunday breakfast: grilled peanut butter, banana, and cheese sandwich with a bit of red pepper flake sprinkled inside.

I saw this guy on my walk this morning. I think he was asleep. I poked him with a stick a couple of times. He just kind of scooted. Then he got defensive and coiled up. I pestered him until he crawled of the road. Anyone know what species he is?
