I’ve reached the age where I find The King’s Man slightly above average (a 3.75 rather than a full 4) and dismiss Lynch as being “incomprehensible and boring.” #LetterboxdFriday #LastFourWatched
Bit cruel to continue showing the Ravech how-to commercials on MLB.TV. (I remain mystified why Canadians have seen this all season when every other ad we see is for our market; I even enjoyed the two months of McDonald’s ice cream commercials in French.)
Non-Americans have a bit of an advantage within our own little spheres. But anyway … Name a TV show you're positive no one remembers but you. (I’m sure other Canadians remember this.)
I first noticed that Panama’s camp is pinned about 850 km north of its actual location in Simcoe County. But then you wonder what is up with this rendering of Ontario’s shape. And as you continue to peruse, the AI sloppiness of this whole thing becomes apparent. Texas? The US eastern seaboard?
If the Statcast TV metrics are to be believed, Riley Greene became the 81st player in the last 19 seasons to hit a home run with an exit velocity of 90.0 mph or less. I honestly didn’t think it was possible. These are the players who did it more than once.
I’ve been seeing this in Apple News for several days and all I can think is: Bobby Hill became a Mexican drug lord?
On this week’s Law and Order: Toronto, it starts with a man saying, “There I was, centre field, Exhibition Stadium.” And then describes how he was taunting Jays pitcher Dave Stieb. It stretches the imagination to call that section of the football grandstand centre-field seats.
I like to watch The Rockford Files on CHCH when I have lunch. S5E4 pairs Jim Garner with a 33-year-old Tom Selleck playing a rival private eye “Lance White.”
Watched Falling Down (1993) tonight. (Yeesh, what a mess.) The kid who played Michael Douglas’s daughter has 125 IMDB credits: 4 for acting and 117 for music clearance. She did music clearance for Marty Supreme. And she had a scene with Duvall. I hope she’s enjoyed her career so far. #filmsky
Appreciate this gentleman supporting Cana Da against New Zealand at the cricket T20 World Cup but my man that’s a Latvian flag.
You’re fine. The stands are full of past jerseys every game. It’s part of the rite of passage. Also, perhaps consider …
Did a double feature at the movies this afternoon. The odd coincidence between The Housemaid and Song Sung Blue? They both feature clips of Richard Dawson-era Family Feud. 🎥
Via the Toronto Star to answer the questions I wondered about yesterday. Correct version of 60 Minutes went out on broadcast; wrong version posted online
Back to the Future was winding down its 40th anniversary theatrical run and I took the opportunity to watch the whole series via AMC. Glad I didn’t spend theatre money to see Part 1. I was confused and disappointed by the structure of Bigelow’s Detroit.
