I have seen the announcement for the next Gundam series and my reaction is

"I'm not my father. I'm my own man."

When you have a title card like this, looking like it's ripped from a third generation VHS, you know you're in for a time.

I'm building a team.

The reference is also in the original manga but for some reason it didn't register with me at the time.

I have done this as well. I admit my pick for Overhated is a little weird because I couldn't think of anything else and these days 08th has apparently become somewhat loathed? I do think it has become somewhat overexposed as a normie choice but it's a perfectly fine series.
