Today, Megan presented her poster at the Siteman Cancer Center through the Leah Menshouse Springer Summer Program! During the summer she worked with her mentor, Jit, to investigate how NF1 shapes gut immune cell populations in mice. We're so proud of everything she accomplished!
New style for the lab! We debuted our fresh Gutmann Lab tees at last weekend's summer picnic. Great weather, great food, and even better company made for a fantastic day together! ☀️👕
This weekend we celebrated our 4th NF Family Day!🎉🌞Between St. Louis BBQ, crafts and so many fun games, Corina shared how our lab is pioneering new NF1 research. It's always inspiring to answer questions and connect directly with the incredible families driving our research. See you next year! #NF1
Another lab meeting highlight! 🌴💘 Vanesa introduced the latest couple in the villa: neurons and tumors. Their relationship is full of chemistry, attraction, and... a whole lot of red flags. 🚩💔 Thankfully we are here to work things out!
STL summer heat is no joke, so we paused the science for an ice cream break! 🍦 But the peace didn't last long and our gloves came off with a few rounds of Uno. Turns out we take "Draw 4" very seriously in this lab. Feel free to join us next time! #Lablife
Check out the latest Genes & Development! 🚨 Enquan introduces PANCOS: a breakthrough PA-human cerebral assembloids that recapitulate tumor pathology and can be used to discover growth dependencies. Intrigued by our animated cover? Dive into the full story here: genesdev.cshlp.org/content/40/9...
We are so proud of Vanesa for winning the DBBS postbac 3-minute elevator pitch! 🎉 She was handsomely rewarded with delicious donuts. Her work in the lab explores how cancer cells communicate with neurons in vitro, revealing how tumors may recruit neural activity to fuel growth. #YouGotThis👏
We are celebrating early Earth Day by recognizing Stephanie and Jenny! 🌎💚 Their leadership helped our lab earn Green Lab certification, and today they were honored at the Green Carpet Awards by the Green Labs Initiative. We are very grateful for their commitment to a more sustainable science! 🌱
Happy St. Patrick's day everyone! 🍀 With green fits and a whole lot of festive science, we’re celebrating curiosity, teamwork, and a little extra magic in this lucky day. 🌈
