Columbia Missouri's Hacky Sack Man. Old school computing hacker, grandmaster Hacky Sack / Footbag player. Learn more: Transportation/Lifestyle bicyclist. Outdoorsy. Habitual Big Tree photographer.
It's my 9th Gas Station Boycott of the year! That's 9 tanks of gas not bought, not burnt, not released into the atmosphere as carbon. Riding my bike is my favorite #DirectClimateAction!
Can't resist having a little fun to the lyrics of this song every now and then 😂 #hackysack #footbag
Fast, fun, chaotic, absolutely baller 46-contact Level-2+ Hacky Sack Tech run, with a pendulum to an ice skater spin at the end! There was a whole group of people just off screen gawking, too! You can hear them cheer at the end.
If we covered just 40% of just the poison-based GMO monocrop farmland used for ethanol production with solar panels, we'd have enough energy to power the entire country. Poison-based GMO monocrop farmland is just as ecologically dead as an asphalt parking lot. It's not an either-or. Do both.
I might be straight, but I think everyone is great! Pride Month is upon us!
It's my sixth Gas Station Boycott of the year! That's another tank of gas not bought, not burnt, not released as carbon into the atmosphere. Saving over $50 per 13 gallon tank these days is kibda sweet, too.
Drivers Behaving Badly: egregious red-light runner at Stadium and Forum in Columbia MO: Black Toyota Camry, JL6J8G I always hear that "...but bicycles run red lights!" argument out of motorists. As if y'all don't?!? Behold: *SEE* yourselves speeding dangerously through a red light.
I've always loved @30daysofbiking.bsky.social because it's always been about the simple joy of cycling. It's my lifestyle, and I LOVE TO RIDE MY BIKE! Day 14/14
There were at least a dozen cardinals in my back yard this morning, all of them obviously playing the dating game.
A decent first quarter for solar power this year! Record/near record production in Jan/Feb, just below average in Mar. Reached full ROI nearly a year ago. Saves $1,200/yr. Pros: Sunshine does not have to pass thru the Straight of Hormuz. Cons: Subject to Missouri weather extremes
Dang. If only there were some other way... some form of transportation that didn't use fossil fuels...
I want to know how this building design ever got out of review, and into the blueprints. Did they really not see it?!?
Just a short little timelapse video of heavy morning frost melting off my solar panel array
I just realized... I'M FEATURED IN THIS YEAR'S PEDJAM ARTWORK! The Pedjam, a unique mid-Missouri tradition, is like Nirvana to me - two days of riding bicycles, and hackysacking to live music! Fantastic event, tickets on sale now, check it out if you can! www.pedalersjamboree.com
Acid-Trip level visual experience on my bike in the cold last night: Frost crystals in the grass along the trail were reflecting my bike light, creating a white-light "Twinkling" effect on each side of the trail as I rode. I even rode off the trail into a grass field to get the full effect. So Cool!
It's my first Gas Station Boycott of 2026! First 500Km on the bike for the year, that's a tank of gas not bought, not burnt, not released into the atmosphere as CO2. I love to ride my bike it's my favorite #directclimateaction !
What am I supposed to say? I've called them all fascists for years. I predicted this would be bad; worse than almost anyone could imagine. I predicted the goon squads in the streets of our cities. It was not hard to predict: It was all laid out in that "Project 2025" document.
Hit my goal of 200 hours of Hacky Sack for the year! Iz Happeh! (alt text explains everything you should read it)
A message of affirmation for the Trans community, you are beautiful & wonderful & amazing, and you have ever right to live, to exist, to thrive, as your real authentic selves, and that the Hacky Sack Man loves you!
The University of Missouri incident referred to in my quoted thread has been mentioned by Ta-Nehisi Coates in a Vanity Fair article. www.vanityfair.com/news/story/c...
