I still remember jumping from 3ds max to Blender when the right mouse button still was select and the UI looked like something from the early 2000´s, 10 years ago. 😵💫
Finally we in games can also burn down a forest and use all the drinking water of a small town as we create basic scripts for moving platforms and spawning line traces to check for collisions! 🤩🙌
Great seeing Godot being used more, but please don't focus so much on rapid development of new features & growth. If people aren't donating because they are happy with the current pace, why push for growth? Everyone loves better tools, but we aren't competing with anyone for market shares here.
Reading more and more news about how bad the Norwegian oil fund is managed (from a ethics and environmental standpoint) is just tiring and sad. And now we are going to be drilling for even more oil under the cover of "Europe needs it now more then ever!" I am so tired of hype capitalism man..🙄
There is something ironic about making digital forests and environments in a depressing office when the sun is shining outside, looking forward to summer vacation.😄

And just so that I don't come of as someone who hates technological progress in games, I think video games being connected to tech over the years has made games more interesting in many ways. But at one point we have to ask ourselves, what is the point? Crysis from 2007 is still king in many ways.
Where to even begin.. This just looks bad in every way. Who is even asking for these "realistic" faces and unrealistically over reflective environments? Are we so simple, we see something shiny and it must be "better"? I miss proper artistic direction even when games were "realistic".
Also booked my first tattoo appointment this year! 2026 will continue to be a year I cover myself with cool art 🖼️

Oh look, crime made by teenagers are way down here in Norway compared to what the media and most politicians would have you believe... Reading the news you would think Oslo is a war zone and you shouldn't go outside after 8 pm. But most people don't believe statistics any more I guess
