This strange, scorched tome is the vessel for a paired set of spectral felines. It is unclear if the two were ever real cats but they do seem to reflect a variety of feline behaviors despite their largely elemental forms. The two serve the holder of the tome (though as with any cats, serve should be interpreted loosely).

This tome is the vessel for two elemental feline spirits. An attuned user can call on them to perform various magics, manifesting them to create the effect. Spells cast from this item use your spellcasting ability (or Wisdom) modifier and proficiency bonus.

Cinder
You can cast the produce flame cantrip. Once per day you can cast the burning hands spell.
Smoke
You can cast the poison spray cantrip. Once per day you can cast the fog cloud spell.

You can also use the tome as a focus when you cast the find familiar spell, summoning both familiars (cat stat block). Only one can act each turn. When you cast one of the spells from this item it can originate from their respective spaces.

Cinder
Cinder is charcoal black, seemingly comprised of actual soot and carbon, with faint glowing embers glimmering within. She is more inquisitive and adventurous and tends to insert herself in situations. Her preferred snack is a branch or a small chunk of dry wood and her favorite toy is an open flame.

Smoke
Smoke is ephemeral and gray, with an inconsistently corporeal body. When relaxed he is prone to becoming more gaseous, dispersing into a larger, less distinctly quadrupedal cloud. He is nonconfrontational and skittish but prone to wandering into unexpected places by blowing through small cracks or holes. His favorite snack is a small nugget of lit incense or other smoky aromatic and his favorite toy is a gently wafting fan.

Thoughts on Mork Borg (via Dukk Borg) This is not my cup of tea. I don't mind simplicity but this is #ttrpg cut down to the (dungeon-crawling) bone. It wasn't bad as a one off but I just don't enjoy the meat grinder energy. Few PCs had 1 HP. One had 1 HP, no armor and no positive modifiers ⬇️ #OSR

Despite some tumultuous logistics, #TTRPG Day at the library went great! #FabulaUltima session 3 peaked in a fight versus the Shadow Spirit possessed Earth Spirit in the Imperial Capital. Victory would mean cutting off magitek power sources to the entire empire...and instead they TPK'd 😅 ⬇️
