Growing up i always thought sloppy joes were mid but i like these. my mom uses this recipe, you scoop some on sandwiches and freeze the rest in little bags for low-effort meals in the future. Disclaimer: tacos and spaghetti are still better.

Sloppy Joes
0.5 cup onion, chopped
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
1 Tablespoon butter
1 Tablespoon brown sugar
2 lb ground beef
1.5 teaspoon worcestershire
7oz. ketchup
1.5 teaspoon salt
0.5 cup water
1 teaspoon vinegar
0.25 cup celery, chopped
0.25 teaspoon dry mustard

Cooking day: Saute onion in butter. Add ground beef; brown lightly. Drain off excess fat. Add remaining ingredients & simmer covered for 30 minutes. Cool & freeze, removing as much air as possible.

Serving day: Heat mixture slowly in skillet or saucepan until ready to serve.

I think youre right, it seems like an entomologist was asked about what kind of insects are emerging right now and everyones running with it, i found this article ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
