Looking at new jobs. Canadian Tech companies really need to learn they won't compete doing these things. $30k/yr less for a Canadian employee to do the exact same thing as an American hire. Canada's cost of living is higher, albeit we don't have to pay for health care directly Company name removed.
Just a quick snap testing some new gear that literally JUST arrived. Paired with a big one air. Gorgeous and comfortable
And so here it is, fully assembled, functioning! Little things, like some red loktite on the eyelets, and maybe a box on the magnets to prevent twisting and enforce alignment, but overall. It seems like it's gonna do the job perfectly! The most expensive part is that m5 core2
The m5 doesn't line up perfect, but it's good enough. Should be able support 4 bar electromagnets (ones I have draw about 0.15A so about 2W each) with a USB power supply. Run time maxed to 12hrs, but a simple code adjustment would allow you to change that...
And that's the controller. I just need to set up the 12v ~2A bus for the magnets on the other side of the boost module. Not sure if I'll need a heat sink for the mosfet yet. Further testing will tell, but I'm going to guess "yes"
You may want to have a chat with your graphic designers, as the backgrounds are definitely showing artifacts that are a distinct indication of AI generated content. The far back lights are out of shape, the "cables" 'glitch, as do the roof panels.
I managed to get this thing on alone the other day, it was a challenge. If the velcro flap on the zipper would have fallen, I'd probably be stuck 😂 Gonna have to try it with someone who can help me get in and out.
It's Friday, that means work in gear again. Same as last time including the rubber underneath, just different gloves. Went with the heavier 8mil nitrile gloves, they hit different. Working in gear just makes the day so much more enjoyable.
Got a bit of bondage time this weekend, tested out new straps and a harness. I still need to figure out a better solution for legs, I struggle enough for the leg straps to move...
Nothing better than collecting data about things like modem RF power so you can know when it drops out of spec and you can give your ISP hell.
There was one point where I wanted to work at Shopify, their platform was interesting, I knew a number of very skilled engineers there, and the company seemed to be run by competent individuals. Over the last couple years, that's been proven to be completely wrong, I hope the smart ones leave, fast
Couldnt work, cause the internet was out, so instead I wrote a script to scrape the signal and log data from my modem every minute to prove to my ISP there definitely is a signalling issue on my cable line. Completely normal activity...
FYI, the hole for the regulator on my light T is 22mm. The internal part sits on top of the gasket and has no indexing to the hole, the outside is effectively indexes it and passes through. Then the screw holds it together. May have room for electro and fluid.
Holy shit, MGM Resorts doesn't have client isolation enabled on their public wifi... What the absolute shit, guess they've done nothing after their crazy breach a few years ago...
392hrs, 14 minutes. Millions of parts, so many fuck ups, a lot of really kick ass looking factories. Phase 5 of project Assembly Complete. I've beaten Satisfactory. In a long history of gaming, the first game I've actually ever beaten. Time to start again!
